  1. I assumed summat may be up healthwise when some of his basses came up for sale a while back, notably his Wal..either that or he was skint. Loved his playing and sound on the early Jam stuff tho, never realised he'd played longer with SLF 😳
  2. What a beauty!! Looks in mint condition too 😮👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼
  3. NOW SOLD Genuine Fender preamp with Vol, Pan, stacked Treble/Bass and Tone controls on chrome plate. £75 UK posted. Bought from here, never got to use it. No wiring diagram for this unfortunately, but if you fancy going active with your Jazz...
  4. *NOW SOLD* I'm having a project clear out - stuff I've collected all with good intentions but never carried out 🙄 First up is a mint unused John East MMSR Stingray 3 band preamp, still boxed and all intact (minus baseplate screws). I used one in my BlazerRay conversion and with the sweepable midrange cut and boost it's an awesome bit of kit. Price of £130 includes UK postage or can be picked up locally. These are currently out of stock on East's website, so if you want one - here it is!
  5. Fantastic work, that is a lovely build 👌🏼
  6. Nice condition that! And a cracking price! Deal with confidence folks 👌🏼👍🏼
  7. Met up with Tom at Doncaster to trade basses. Thoroughly nice bloke to deal with, excellent communication from initial enquiry to sealing the deal, he even bought me a pint! Deal with confidence, this guy is one excellent BassChatter 👍🏼

  9. Brilliant players, tight as. WOW! 👌🏼
  10. There's me thinking I was the only one to mess up regularly - pleased to hear I'm not alone 🤭 My clangers are a standing joke amongst my band mates, and it's not often I can get through a gig without hitting a bummer or three 😖 OP asks how do we cope? In my case, without a care in the world 😉 Playing covers for almost 50 years, I've been getting away with mediocre for long enough to get used to it 🤣
  11. Beauty type bump, lovely that 👍🏼
  12. Neat idea Andre 👍🏼👍🏼
  13. Oof that's unlucky but a clever save! Looking good Dom 👌🏼

  21. I put down my fretted and use my fretless in back to back songs in our first half: Talk Talk 'It's my Life' then Don Henley's 'New York Minute' two of my absolute favourite fretless pop bass lines 😎
