  2. Ive played it! It's a late 60s (I was innebriated) he's got a slim profile neck on it though.
  3. Merky morning bump!
  4. I think I currently have 10, of which 3 or 4 get played in rotation and every so often one will get sold/traded.
  5. My offer would be a Bongo 4 HH in sapphire black as a trade.
  6. No probs, was gonna offer my bongo but alas, it's a 4. Best of luck with the sale.
  7. Oooh, that'll hurt the resale value.
  8. Are you looking for any trades or just a straight sale?
  9. Fender are just throwing stuff together at the moment by the look of things! Although there's something alluring about the Jazz/P, which ever it is it has the P pickups. Identity crisis basses.
  10. No worries bro, best of luck to you too!
  11. If only it was passive
  12. If my bongo sells quickly I'll be popping up to cheltenham again I think! Not that this will be around long
  13. So i take it you dont fancy my bongo?
  14. It's not a sabre, but do you fancy a bongo as a trade?
  15. Bump for trade options!
  16. I don't suppose you fancy a Bongo 4 HH as a trade?
  17. Thanks man it really is lovely! Just discovered that passive is my bag. I'd like to add rics to the trade options too. Especially a 3001.
  18. Can I have them back please? I'm hoping they help sell this bass
  19. Where have my pics gone?
  20. Up for sale is my Bongo 4 HH in Saphire Black. It's an 05 build and as such has the 30th anniversary fitted Music Man hardcase. Condition is really good, theres a really small ding on the back of the neck that you'd have to look for to see. Its currently fitted with a Hipshot drop tuner that I will include in the sale. The tone on these things is incredible, it opens up a whole new sonic ball park over a standard ray or a sterling. The 4 band eq is really great, I was worried that it would be way too much for me and my inferior ears but its not, the bass and treble is self explanatory and the frequencies the mids are tuned to are really helpful for cutting through the mix, or backing off if you're overpowering the rest of the band. The Neodymium pickups are super responsive to boot, very clear, very modern. Playability is great too, balance is perfect, weight is good, the bass overall feels very compact even though its roughly the same size as a ray. The neck is sort of somewhere between a ray and a sterling. I'm selling because I've come to the conclusion that active basses just aren't for me. I'm going to miss the playability of it, but it's never going to get the use it deserves with me and I'd rather spend what it's worth on something I'll be more inclined to use. I've stolen pictures from a previous sale thread, I hope the owner of them doesn't mind. Price wise it owes me about £1,000 which I'll never get back so I'd like £850 ono. Any questions feel free to ask. Trade wise I'm open to 2 EQ rays, fenders, laklands, Gibsons (T-bird, Ripper). Pretty much anything passive! Ash
  21. Dark stars are out of the question, apparently you just can't get hold of them these days. Budget wise I want to keep it cheap ish, £1500 or there abouts would be enough. I did consider going down the moddinng route, but I don't really want a p or a j and I don't want a mahogany T-bird either.
  22. They look awesome! Do you have any experience?
