  1. Great idea shame there’s not a UK version http://playback-earthday.daddario.com/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=marketing_cloud&utm_campaign=FRETTED-Earth Day 2018
  2. Treat with caution. You could be wearing a PA Jacket. Or speaker hats !!
  3. 😂😂😂 The drummer needs to learn a bit about complimentary frequencies. He would find it so much more comfortable going through the pa. have a look at these. There great for understanding how to eq instruments and where their frequencies cross over. https://ledgernote.com/columns/mixing-mastering/eq-cheat-sheet/
  4. I've seen too many bands with one guy and his EGO PA system. Not good for anyone involved.
  5. I think your guy is missing the whole point. The stage is where the sound is controlled and at comfortable levels. You shouldn't be competing to be heard on stage.
  6. Id agree with Muz. Sounds like there's just too much going on. its the quality of the cabs etc that matter, not the quantity. id hate speakers at the back of the stage. It just means every mic on stage is picking up bleed from all over the place. I've recently moved from two RCF tops and sub to just Two RCF 15's full range speakers. Its made life so much easier and everything through the PA ( including electronic kit). were a 4 piece and really only use our rigs for onstage sound. I'm on the verge of just using my Tone hammer straight into the PA and using floor wedge as the monitor.
  7. I saw them recently in Birmingham and really enjoyed the gig. Having watched a recent documentary on sky Arts. What came through for me is that Yes As a band created a concept to musically develop more complex and inventive songs. So each member had to be on their game. If you weren’t you were asked to move on or just replaced. There was clearly some bad blood between particular reincarnations. Regardless it was great to see such interesting and indulgent playing. Can’t think of/ know any current bands doing that type of music.
  8. Yes just wondering if it's worth flogging or burning??
  9. Following on the tail of the Gas thread. I was thinking what the combined cost of our equipment is here on BC is? If it’s just bass equipment I estimate mine to be the best part of £7000. That’s all basses, amps, cabs, leads, pedals etc. It’s obscene!
  10. Well hopefully sending the post is the first step? Talking about it here or elsewhere is important. Although reading some of the threads on here may not always improve your mental health. 😀 playing wise take it hour by hour. Maybe revisit some of the music that sparked your interest. It may trigger something positive. Aside from that. Be good to yourself.
  11. Do you run the signal to you amp via the Aux?
  12. Thanks for posting. Sounds great
  13. Your right EBS freak. One of the QSC speakers on the FRFR thread has two inputs. And Di out. I’m thinking bass bone > QSC then Di to desk. Then Aux from desk to 2nd input for general mix?
  14. Hi all. Im using my bas rig less and less. I’ve used my bass bone for several gigs now. Whilst some venue monitors are excellent others are hit and miss. I was wondering what you guys would consider to be the best floor monitor for bass?
