1. First off. That film is sheeeeeeiiiiiiittttt. Man that film is so insignificant. I lasted 12 minutes. Any way the cab. Its a tough one as the reduced size and weight do not come cheap. you may need to consider some of the cabs with "new" design materials. I can vouch for the Bergantino cabs. The HS210 might be worth looking at. 2. I'm sure its all been covered but My experience of MM has always been a very comforting one. I have a 3 eq, and every time i pick it up it just feels right. The eq is very responsive, really easy to pick out diffrent tones. I also think its a bass made with the player in mind. i love how easy it is to adjust the truss rod and on the new ones how easy it is to change the battery. Those little things are well thought through.. The necks are mint, very P like with some of the bulk taken off. I have had mine a long time and like many have tried many basses. expensive and cheap. these days i have just two. The MM being my very reliable number 1....
3.
Yup They sure are a beautiful thing! I have a Comodous on order at the moment along with a rather stunning Wood&Tronics
Man. Those Wood & Tronics are just off the Hook. They have some at Bass Direct in Warwick, such a well made Bass.

8. That is an amazing classic, no question. Nice sheets as well, they from M&S???
9. Hello Les I understand your problem completely. I have to say i messed about with diffrent cabs, ohm, placement etc. The bottom line is a 150 is just not loud enough. I would look for a 450 head and for me the cab that really does do what it says on the tin is the Ampeg SVT 410 HLF. http://www.ampeg.com/products/classic/svt410hlf/index.html What is amazing is the 125db Sound pressure level it sends out, it really does push some air. easy to get around big wheels etc. Have a great time trying all the options!!!
10. Have you thought about trying the Eden Nemisis heads. Great sound and reasonable price. Couple it with a Bergantino or your aguliar cab

12. Usually when i set up for a gig i set everything flat and then adjust as neccessary. i have always known that the bass has particular frequencies but i am not sure across what range say a four string bass covers. Any help out there. i figure if i understand this more i may be able to adjust my amp more effectively.

16.
The amount and quality of speakers you use will have far more bearing on your loudness than the number of watts your amp is rated at. The loudness you'll need depends hugely on your bandmates - moronic guitarists could literally increase your power needs tenfold (which will only double your loudness). Poor tonal choices and technique on your own part can also eat power. Volume wars are bad! Play together. Alex
Thanks Alex. i take your point about playing together. However can you elaborate on the speaker quality to head ratio. sean
17. This may indeed sound very stupid, but it has never stopped me before. Is there a calculation for working out how loud your rig needs to be. eg style of music x venue X punters = Watts. Again i apologise for daft questions , but is is better to buy for example an ampeg head that is 450w or a lesser head that is 900w. Does the quality of build come into it?
18. I hope some of you great minds can help. I have £1200 -1500 pound to spend on a Amp. i have used Ashdown and Ampeg in the past. I want a head and 1x15 cab with a 2x10 cab. I play in covers / tribute bands mainly Rock based. i use a 3eq stingray and a fender jazz vintage reissue. i am lookin at either a Eden nemisis 700 plus Cabs, or Aquilar head and cabs. The reason being i want a more portable rig, we play small venues and i am always competing with two guitarists. very rarely have we played venues that allow me to go through a PA. Although i have been playing for years this is a real first for me and i am having to learn about diffrent options. I am already confused so any help would be very welcome.
19. Hey all Just wanted to throw this wonder into the Bass chat world. I have found it difficult over the years to find a compressor that has a subtle effect on my sound. That is until i found this. I can't say enough good things about it, build quality is outstanding, easy to use. It really is amazing. http://www.telenordia.de/ check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adw3qO8hSSU Yes its on a guitar, but just imagine what it can do on a bass
20. This whole band were nutters. The way he treated the WAL and playing style i think is brilliant but Goofe. Stay with it some great harmonics and sliding around 1min 38. saw them in 88 and they were mental http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJQIWKAvLaM#
