I've been looking for a dual and since I bought a bass that came with a case by Music Area (who I had never heard about before) led me to be looking at this: https://musicarea.com/products/aa31-dual-electric-bass-case which I like the look of and features. Anyone happen to have tried one of these?

I think there is a lot of info out there but also anything to help make it accessible to others is a good thing. I created something similar about 10-15 years ago for my own use. As I wanted to also combine it with suggested fingerings using Tim Miller's 2-1-2 method to help play them fluidly in groups. This was something I created for one position - on a 5 string high c as that is what I pretty much always played.

Amazing bass @Cairobillstill gutted I moved mine on as a poor student.

You didn't buy it used on here did you? I'm still trying to find my original 1994 blue TRB6 that I regrettably sold on here to I think P-T-P but not sure where it went after...

Thanks @OliverBlackman yes that's the one. The flamed koa actually took my eye for a minute but the neck wasn't as well finished on the back on the laminates. Had I seen the pale moon ebony that was upstairs it would have been a tough call but the teen in me just had to have the burl I lusted after on so many Foderas.

I'd love a new 6 like this one. A blue one keeps floating about UK. Then there is this recent one: https://www.fretspot.com/in-stock-now/ken-smith-burner-6-string-bass-quilted-maple-top-upgraded-electronics/ not many out there.

A recent NBD but it also deserves to be in this thread. An Ibanez G105 Grooveline.

I take it back...have the extra 0.001 and a 10/10. Went to open the bass case in dim light and turns out there is a pocket on the back of Headstock in gig bag. Inside was original document from Japan and 2 Allen keys! Thought it was odd an instrument of this calibre to not have them.

I'd say that's a fair assessment. It really is super clean.

Never go to Bass Bros in person...or something like this happens. They were amazing in their service and we did what feels a fair deal for all. A lot of other basses went to make room for this one and it's already worth it. I don't play enough to have a big stash no matter how varied they are, so wanted to get to a few I know I'll keep playing. I've wanted a burner since Hadrien's earlier days (although would love a sea foam one). Also always loved Matt Garrisons fodera with buckeye burl. They had a flame koa which also looked incredible but I wasn't feeling the neck as much. Talk of a pale moon ebony finish that was upstairs got me tempted but supposedly it had already gone. Seemingly it's on their site so still available and usually like a clean fretboard with no markers, but preferred this overall. Saw this in the flesh and just had to have it. Find it hard to properly try basses in shops as they are always setup far too high for my preference. Now it's setup like really (really) low, the neck and finish really is impressive on this thing. Kudos to Sleek Elite for keeping quality really high. 9.999 out of 10. The 0.001 is because I didn't have a 1/20 Allen key to do the setup and wish they'd included one

I'm a massive fanboy obviously and have owned over the years: 2 GWB35s, GWB1 (twice), 3 different EHBs (6, 5 and shortscale 5), a heavily modded TMB35 (which I still have). Aside from the GWB which is fretless, never had a Prestige/Japanese fretted and always wanted one. I recently had a bit of a purge to get 2 basses I have wanted since I first saw them. Finally got an Ibanez Grooveline G105 I found being sold in Eire after repeated googling over the months/years. Even with family in Northern Ireland there was no way I could get it. After a few talks the owned agreed to have his son bring over to England so I could pick it up. An immaculate bass even with all the original case goodies and labels. Now I've set it up really low as I like I can tell it will get a lot of playing time. Which is saying something when you think what NBD 2 of 2 is... I know the look isn't for everyone but has best balance of any bass I've ever played and has a great super jazz bass sound. I really want a G106 but after a few messages from Benjamin Shepherd who informed me only 50 were made I'm not holding my hopes up. That said I'm extremely happy with the G105. Anyone else got one?

Used and paintwork has faded in areas and chip to paintwork. Neck unmarked. Plays and sounds great but because of the finish this is reflected in the price. Every time a burner comes up at BD and BB I have to convince myself I really don't want/need... thankfully they sell really quickly so I don't have the pain too long. Congratulations that's a lovely bass.

Shared before but I changed the tuners to save some weight and have less neck dive. Upgraded to Aguilar pickups and in doing so needed a new plate. Which I got a luthier just to do whatever he wanted. And loved the final shape. Oh and added flush straplocks. Also made a quick ramp. -
