1.
No idea - have you got in contact with Preston at Wounded Paw ? He's a very helpful chap.
I haven't, but will do now! It's not a huge issue, just perplexed is all! Thanks for the suggestion :-)
 2. So I recently picked up a Wounded Paw Blender V3 from here and loving it, perfect for my needs! There is something quite strange that's happening though...When I'm using a channel with my distortion pedals in, I have to raise the volume on all of the pedals more than I usually would to keep them in unity volume with the clean signal (on the same channel with all pedals turned off). This only seems to happen when the pedals are coming back through the "return" of the channel. I have plugged the amp lead into the output of the last pedal, being sent out through the "send" of the channel, and this works normally and the pedal volumes do not need to be adjusted... Anyone know what's happening here!? Could it be something to do with the buffers? N.b. It's definitely not a phase issue...

 4.
Is the scratch plate covered in tin foil?
I was thinking this, looks like it is...Make your own mirrored scratchplate!
 5. Rich bought my Boss LS-2. Quick payment and very pleasant transaction overall Recommended BCer, enjoy the pedal Rich!
 6. Bought Zac's Wounded Paw Blender. It was very well packaged, delivery was speedy, and overall he's a very good guy to do business with! Thanks Zac :-)
 7. Lowpass Filter and expression pedal sold pending payment...
 8.
PM sent Re: Expression Pedal
And replied!
 9.
BTW that looks like a Moog EP-2 (I have one too), the MP-201 is the big expensive programmable version!
Whoops! Now amended, thanks Dannybuoy!
 10.
Good luck finding a case for it!
Literally and figuratively of course ;-)
 11. Good luck finding a case for it!
 12.
what's the band - anything online?
Rough demo here! We've just recorded some tracks and getting them properly mixed now, so they should be up by start of April!
 13.
I have to agree with Gaz on that. That COG is a bit special.
Me too! It's very fat sounding on its own, much more so than the Rat Tail, and then there's the clean blend with LPF on the TK-421-X if you really need it! Recently played some big gigs with this as my main sound, and everyone complemented me on my tone! :-) Even Jon Pearce (ex-Reuben) asked how I got my distorted bass sound!...
 14.
I never even knew about it myself until recently, restrung my Flea and the E just sounded absolute pants, lifeless and dull and just weird. Restrung it again, making sure it was straight from the ball end to winding with no twist and it came back to life. Odd.
I used to have this issue quite a bit, especially with the through-body stringing on the Stingray. Best technique I've found is to get the string on and tune to the point where it's wound but still pretty slack, then grip the string over the bridge pickup and push it towards the bridge. The ball-end should come out just enough to allow the string to untwist and straighten itself. Then let go and tune the string to pitch, and you're guaranteed to be twist - free! ☺
 15.
same here, was just thinking that. I always have chorus post fuzz - will give it a shot tonight.
I often use the 'detune' chorus on the Whammy before dirt for a thick Death From Above-type sound, and I think he uses his Ibanez chorus in the same way. The Corona comes later in the chain, and the dirt accentuates its lovely swirliness...I think you need one before and after dirt personally! ;-)

 17.
well, after ratmans response above, and some incredibly helpful emails from Tom, I went ahead and ordered a TK-421-X. Can't wait :-)
Good decision! Get that LPF on the blend, asymmetric LEDS, crank the gain and peel your guitarist(s) off the wall ;-)

 19.
I've used it in this fashion and not noticed any "tone suck". It is buffered, and some people seem to have a problem with Boss buffers, but I doubt you'll have any problems I have the SFX loop logic too and wouldn't say it sounds "cleaner"
Thanks for this, very helpful. Tbh I've always used the odd Boss pedal and never had an issue with tone suck before, probably notice it if you have 5 in a row...
 20. Hi Everyone! I'm looking for advice from someone who has a bit more experience of the Boss LS-2 than me... I've made a little board and I'm currently using the LS-2 to add a clean blend to an old LM308 RAT pedal that I have. The issue I've always had with this RAT (and any silicon diode RAT tbh) is that with relatively low gain settings (10-11) I'm only just/not quite hitting unity volume with the level on full, so it becomes a bit difficult to get the RAT to sit convincingly over the top of the clean signal/blend. A good way around this seems to be raising the RAT's channel volume on the LS-2 to around +15db, so the RAT can be heard and I have a little more volume to play with on the RAT pedal itself...This doesn't seem to affect the tone, and obviously I would assume this is just like adding a clean boost after the distortion. I assume it is quite a clean, transparent (FET-based?) boost on the LS-2 as well? I just wanted to ask fellow LS-2 users whether you boost any of the pedal's channels in this fashion, and whether you have noticed any negative impact on your tone or the performance of the pedal in the loop? Is there a pedal out there ([sfx] Loop Control, Wounded Paw Blender, etc) that would be more suitable and give me an even cleaner boost? Any comments, help or advice will be appreciated! Thanks, Alex
 21. Sold my Limelight Jazz Bass to Rich. Very friendly chap, and the deal could not have gone smoother! :-) Thanks Rich, enjoy the bass!
 22.
Thanks for sharing Sibob, great resource you have there! The Beta and Xotic both sound great to myears, but I think I'm gonna go with the Knightfall as I like the idea of having a transparent tone that I can dial darkness into.
I'd recommend that you go for the Knightfall 66 over the standard model. Two channels with independent controls (apart from blend, though it's not neccesary! ) and diode selection mean it's almost like two distortion boxes in one! I have mine on ALL the time... Talk to Tom (COG), you may need to wait a while longer but it's worth it!
