1. A great piece... Interesting idea. I love this kind of music. Tallis particularly.. Also Palestrina, Allegri, Byrd... The power of voice...
 2. Yup... lefty playing right.... awful lot of it about, you know
 3.
hiho,I,ve got an Orange terror bass head and cab and it,s always cold, never gets warm even when we had the heatwave unlike my old ampig where you could do a sunday roast with it including roast potatoes, pan of soup ,a few rounds of toast at the back and heat the venue in the winter.
I once rehearsed at a place where the guy running it insisted I try his Ampeg SVT stack, he was right proud of it.... I was curious, so I did... Sounded great, as they do.... as time passed, an odd smell started to fill the room, it didn't twig at first but soon enough it became obvious that it was the Ampeg which was by now smoking!... Fan was knackered... thing had heated up massively & was about to burst into flames!!... It cost him a fair bit to sort it out & I felt a bit guilty that I didn't cotton on earlier & perhaps saved it .... but he did offer!.... I woulda been happy to have used the amp I had bought along....... Update: I've gigged the MB500 over this weekend & it performs fine.... Gets a little warm after a few hours but nothing to worry about... fan kicks in when it's supposed to... all good.... it's sooo tiny!... & makes a massive noise!
 4. Bloody hell.... I just bought an MB500 from GAK as a compromise because I couldn't really afford to stretch to a new fusion! ..A couple of weeks ago, I would've jumped on this..... It's all in the.................................................timing! ..
 5.
I've had mine about a month and had similar experiences with the fan coming on occasionally not long after it's been turned on but not used in anger. Most of the time the fan stays off, though. It does get a bit warm to the touch after prolonged use, but not exactly what I'd call hot.
Thanks for that... think I was just a bit paranoid! I've had a bit of experience with having to send new stuff back to be replaced... A GK MBE cab with a faulty tweeter switch being amongst them!
 6.
I've got to admit to being a little disappointed with the content of this thread after the title looked so promising...
fnarr fnarr! aww.... soz! Will this help? No?
 7. Recently bought a Gallien Krueger MB500 head.... sweet, tiny, pokey, tiny, cute, so tiny.... powerful, versatile, tiny... god it's tiny! I've been using my Genz Benz Neo-Pak a lot recently & really been liking it... So kinda got the notion to trade in my GK1001RB II (my more 'testosterone' head, reserved for those bigger stage needs) for something more portable .....& it arrived from GAK recently.... Not gigged it yet... Will do on Friday.... But I am pretty impressed with what it is doing at low volume... Just wondering... I seem to remember reading something somewhere where an MB500 owner was saying that the fan hardly ever kicks in because it never seems to get warm.... Well, my experience is that, I have had it on...but done nothing with it.... & suddenly the fan has kicked in... So just experimented with leaving it on for a couple of hours & it seems quite warm to the touch!... is this normal? I'm appealing to other GK MB500 owners.... am I just being paranoid? ....prolly! ....yeah, surely!? I wouldn't have thought about it if I hadn't read that!.... Any thoughts? (tell me I'm being stupid!... )
 8. Sold a GK 1001RB to Paul. He traveled a fair way to pick it up, payed in cash money & was a top bloke to deal with throughout. I'd have no problem in further dealings...
 9. Check the measurements, it may fit something you need covering.... These Roqsolid covers are really top quality, as I know a lot of folks on here would vouch for.... I'm just gunna be coming back to haunt this thread every now & then until it gets rehomed! a 'make me an offer' kinda bump!
 10. It prolly fits other cabs too!........ (WxHxD) 23.5 x 19.5 x 14.75 bump bump bump ...BOOM!
 11. Thanks for that Josh.... It was good to catch up with you. So.... I know what I'm doing now & need to get this sold.... Are you still interested Paul?
 12.
Yes I know Waynes Bar!! One of my bands did a couple of one week stints there 3 years ago. Mental sums it up nicely. The gigs were so much fun, and the drinking that followed was legendary! On the second week we were there the air con in the pit had packed up, I have never, ever, played in heat like it. Most of the band at some point nearly passed out, no lie. All in all, fond memories. I did hear that they weren't using British bands any more. That's obviously not true so maybe I'll get back there someday.
Yeah!... Last time I did this gig was Oct... this was July, I nearly passed out myself!.... Sam (was he working there back then?) told us it peeked at 45 degrees in the pit once!... F.Hot! ....A lotta fun but not much of an earner.
 13.
All good thanks mate It was just a shot in the dark, I've seen guys downsizing from 1001's to 700/400RB's because they want to keep the tone but reduce the headroom. Unless a LM II might take your fancy?
Hmmm... I wouldn't mind trying a LM II through my Aggies.... could be interesting!
 14.
Where are you buddy? Would you post if necessary? Thanks :-)
Replied to your PM...
 15.
How about downsizing to a 700RB Dave?
Hi Josh... How's it going?... nah mate, soz... gotta be MB stylee... I'm actually gassing for the MB500 Fusion...or an Aguilar tone hammer... but I'd settle for MB500 if there was one on offer... Feeling the need for a bit more umph?
 16.
Anyone looking for a proper gigging set up should consider this - they are great amps. GLWTS.
Indeed they are!... thanks for that

 18. The classic Gallien Krueger 1001RB Mark II head. Has served me well. Had it regularly serviced by my tech guy... Will throw in the Gator bag. Average condition... it's been a gigging animal so has taken a few knocks! I want to downsize to a MB500 (my ideal would be the MB500 fusion, but it's a case of affording it!)
 19. I'd be interested in this but I'd need to sell my GK 1001RB ii first... if it's cash you are after
