Coincidentally all three bands used my TC Classic plus a single RS210 rig at my gig on Friday. DI to the desk with a very classy PA so it was only needed as a stage monitor really. Volume was set at 5/10 and that was just about right for all three pretty noisy trios. Felt like there was plenty more on tap should it be needed. For gigs with no or not very good PA support I would always bring my RS112 as well. When I've used the Orange Terror with the same cab there I can't get past 2/10 on the volume without drowning the monitoring out mind. But the DI is so much better on the TC.

Sold shed loads of these at the gig on Friday. Very gratifying.

We always bring our drums even when we're not the last band. The only exception to this is when the 'house kit' is to be supplied b y the venue. We were on as the penultimate band last on Friday.and we were very glad we did. Last band on who insisted everyone should use their kit turned up over 3 hours late. I'm glad I'd bought my bass rig too as that was on the same deal! The scenario if we hadn't isn't worth thinking about. Especially as the venue was jam packed with paying punters. Unfortunately we expect other bands we don't know to let us down and prepare. Back to the OP. Shells should really be provided by the last band on who should in theory turn up first.

Thanks. Hope your 12 Bar show was good too. Jam packed Half Moon. Lots of problems to sort on the night but we got there in the end. Place was packed. All bands got well paid and we shifted many CDs. Thanks to all the Basschatters who turned out in good numbers. Would have liked to have chatted more but I got lumbered with sorting last minute equipment sharing and stuff as well as playing. We weren't 100% for a couple of reasons but we put on a good show anyway I thought. Very good night. Len Price 3 played a relentless blinder.

I've seen them twice. The Greyhound, Fulham 1979. Chaos. Fighting everywhere. Impossible to actually watch the band due to all the aggro and them having to keep stopping mid song to try and calm it down. Got chased down the Fulham Palace road by three BM skins and had to run across moving traffic to escape them Hollywood style. Albert Hall 2011. In the Royal box. We had a waiter called Ray. They were fantastic. The sound was superb and Sir Horace's bass playing and sound was one of the best I've heard at a gig. I enjoyed this one much more.

Any fule no that the worlds bestest looking bass is a white precision with a black scratch plate with a rosewood neck. Oh. And a 'keep music live' sticker.

Satellite weren't highly regarded at all in the late 70s. The guitarist in my first band had a Satellite Les Paul Custom. It was terrible. He upgraded to a Columbus. That was slightly less terrible. The cheapest copies knocking around today will be miles better than this.
