1. I don't believe they're rounded so they might be more akin to the old Chorus rather than the FX25b?? Si
2. I would need two that look like the below Amazing if someone has some? PM me Cheers Si
3. Hi all, Does anyone have any spare DOD pedal knobs hanging around? Cheers Si
4. Yup, Chorus + Delay and also Chorus + Reverb. Great pedal! Si
5. Just wanted to say I'm very appreciative of this months interview with Jonathan Hischke, great player and incredibly nice guy! Cheers Si
6. From what I understand, they're still in the testing stage for the HH3, I asked them over Twitter if it would would with with an IE Xero and they said they'll try it asap. Fingers crossed. With an Expressionator would be cray cray :-O Si
7. I'm seriously thinking about a Xerograph....especially considering that the new Source Audio Hot Hand 3 can control any Expression enabled pedals :-P Si
8. I've had basses with BA2's, didn't notice any difference compared to my basses with BBOT bridges....genuinely. New Fender's have higher mass versions anyway. Si

Pedal ident?

Specifically, the Boss is a DD-5 I think Si
10. That is probably one of the nicest looking Precisions I've seen!! Si
11. If he's using Distortion with Flange, then there's not a combi pedal I know of that will do that. But there are some builders who will combine their pedals in single boxes for you, VFE Pedals, Fuzzrocious, SFX etc. The trick is finding company that does a flange and a distortion you like Si
12. Just to confirm, is this the XO or classic BMS? Cheers Si
13. Pulling covers bands off without keyboards is easy The trick is clever use of modulation on guitar, nice delays and vibrato etc, thicken out the sound. A nice round bass sound, fills the room when the guitar is doing higher melodies etc. Also, more vocals, all of you get singing Si
14. Very cool, similar to one I'm having built at the moment! Si
15.
They got They got popular...... ergo they are sh*te. Moves like Jagger is a blinding pop tune!
This!! Weird that people need to shout their negative opinions all the time Si

NFD :D

New Fuzz Day. Yesterday I was able to pick up from the post-office my new Fuzzrocious Grey Stache, direct from Ry over in New Jersey. Gated, with control knob for amount. 2nd momentary footwitch for oscillation/feedback. 3 clipping options: LED - Asymmetric LED - Germanium Oh.....and their 'Kid-Paint' option (faster turn-around)...from their son, age 4 Si
17. Hi Joel, Good to hear from you . I've never quite understood the, sometimes vitrolic, attention that BGM garners....but then I'm a pretty easy going reader. I tend to rely on forming opionions myself, rather than reading a review & then picking fault with their opinion. I think the problem with the BASSically Speaking section is that each subject is presented with a number of questions, often, instead of using the question as a bouncing-board to voice their own opinion/thoughts, they quote the question directly and answer. This obviously leaves each article sounding VERY similar. Perhaps an approach to try and provoke a more varied feature would be to have the player submit the word-count in their own words entirely, with no direction from the mag!? And also, another High Wycombe resident? Do you play locally much? Cheers Si
18. Yeah good luck with that .....even with George L's lol SI
19. My Chorus is currently a Fromel modded CE-2B, much more scope than the original pedal. Most people will just recommend what they've tried, if you know you liked the EBS, go with it again Si
20. I use one of these and it works great on bass, very cool phaser with a fair few sonic options Si
21. Chris's setup is so involved, he has a lot of expression pedal action going on, not to mention his triggering of Ableton (I believe). Si
22. Yeah I'm much preferring heavier guage string tone at the moment, I did use 40-100 for years. I've gone for an initial setup of 45-105 on the fretless, can't wait for it to arrive : Si

Noise Gate help

I agree with a lot of the above, any kind of gain pedal will amplify and highlight any noise already present. I don't know a great deal about gates, but I know that some (like the Boss NS-2 http://bossarea.com/loadpage.asp?file=boxes/ns2.xml ) also has a 'noise reduction' circuit. It attempts to cut out hiss/noise whilst allowing the guitar signal through....but how well that works with hi-gain pedals I don't know, not used one Si
