The new board in action last Thursday (snapped by a friend in the audience...)

I love how it looks 'normal' sized......and then you realise it's half the band name longer!

Oh it would be in a flight case of sorts, I mean for transporting more than at home.
I'm very interested in the 500-800 comparisons. I've currently got a Little Mark 2 and so i'm trying to get more headroom than that has into 8ohms
Si
What are people thinking of these now? Honeymoon period over?
I was thinking about the TTE800, simply so I can have 500 watts into one cab, rather than say 350 into 8ohms that the TTE500 probably offers.
Anyone tried the 800's yet? any noticeable difference in tone?
Are these ok to be stored on their side? Tubes etc?
Thanks
Si
The Big Muff is quite a soft sounding Fuzz as it is, it's not running something like LEDs for clipping etc.
For a company best known for their Muff, they've never quite got it right for Bass IMO
Si
Go look at the Fuzzrocious Grey Stache, it's based on the GGG Big Muff, but with a Mid control and diode options.
I had the same issue when I had a standard Big Muff, great sound but not giggable. My Grey Stache changed all that

As Si has mentioned, the Boss PS-6 is a great small footprint pitchbox.
Does a whole bunch of pitching & harmony options, including momentary Whammy style bends, has expression out.
I picked up mine for £70 second hand, bargain!!

Whenever I play music, I'm playing for free.....
What I get paid for is travelling, lifting, waiting, and generally putting up with crap from 'customers'.
It's important to decide what you're getting paid to do, and what you do for your soul
Si
Yeah I had the same response from DOD, "no longer made"
Oh well, I have a DOD FX56 Tube Overdrive on the way for £18 that I think I can nick the knobs from

Have you emailed Harman/Dod to see if they still have any? They used the same ones on the rack and DI based stuff long after the pedals were made[/quote]
Will do so now

Do they have to be identical to the ones pictured, or just functional?

Would prefer to get the same style ones
Cheers

I have to say, I also get a lot more pleasing distortion with my Precision than I do with my Jazz (using my Xotic BB Pre clone that is), so experiment with different basses into different distortions if you're able to.

I've been on the lookout for one to 'tidy' my meat box up.
I've had a wanted ad up for ages but no joy as yet.
If any one has another spare ( or source of a spare!) please drop me a pm

If I find one more than I need, I'll let you know

^^ It probably sounds muddy because you're boosting the mud-range rather than the mid-range.

hehe
I'm a big Boss fanboy, but I don't think they do bass distortions very well. I don't have experience of the GT-6B, only the ME-50B and various Compacts, but have never found a Boss Distortion sound that works for me. You might have better luck stacking a couple of different settings.
