1. Nice people but I've had 3 covers from them, all go wrong, even when specified exactly what I want. They've sorted it 2 times out of 3 and were lovely, but the 3rd time, they sorted an initial issue, only for it to still be wrong when they sent it back...at that point I gave up and I make do. Lovely people, consistent difficult experience for me though. Just make sure you really really explain what you're after, even if it's a stock selection from their site. Si
2. Ah yes an older model, but still awesome. Yeah Ry and fam are great to deal with, gotta love supporting a true family business and getting awsome sOuNdZ too! Si
3.
Mines only one of the single enclosure types, so not sure it's doable. If I decide to get a bigger pedal board, think I might look at getting hold of a rat king for it.
Ah I see, one of the etched ones? Ry could probably re-house it, but like you said, by the time you've done all that....might as well buy a Rat King :-D Si
4. Ry would almost certainly add one for you if you could bare sending it back! Si
5.
My 2012 Am Std P complete with Bass Doc parchment scratchplate. Apologies for the poor pic quality, the light's non existent. Si
6. Awesome! The second distortion mod on the Rat Tails is the best option! What finish did you go for? Si
7. Sibob

Gojira Pedals.

Yes, follow these guys on Twitter, certainly some nice work Si
8. Wow That board could be so much smaller lol Si
9. Bump for the Diago Si
10. I'll be there Si
11. Almost anything from Fuzzrocious They're slightly bigger boxes, but u could request a smaller box if custom ordering Also the Xotic BB Bass Pre is an excellent choice! Si
12. Cool thanks. Yes unfortunately that's the case with vintage basses, people want to see date and guts photos Good luck! Si
13. His studio tone will no doubt be a combination of these as well as other pedals, production, amps etc etc Si
14. I've only tried the MB Synth at trade shows, so have a limited knowledge of it. From what I remember, the preset sounds were pretty decent and useable! However needing to edit patches on computer and not on the fly has put a lot people off I think. Hopefully there will be someone along who's got some great settings and tips, but I'll forgo presets and stick with my Bass Micro Synth for real time editing Not tried the Pigtronix, but a few guys on here have them. To be fair, anything they make is usually awesome, I expect the Mothership is no exception. Si
15. Really lovely bass! Out of interest, what would shipping cost? Thanks Si
16. Bump Si
17. How low does the Moog go? An OC-2 (synthy octave) with an EQ after the fact would give you an approximation. The Boss GEB-7 goes down to 50hz, the MXR Kerry King goes down to 31hz (Meatbox territory) & the Boss PQ-3B (rare) goes down to 25hz Si
18. If there are any particular effects people want to see/hear, let me know http://basschat.co.uk/topic/199401-i-did-an-inventory-p/#entry1973589 Si
19.
Oh man, this is great. I wish pwnzors were still up for sale..
http://basschat.co.uk/topic/208213-fsft-3-leaf-pwnzor-bass-compressor/ Si
20. No problem. Funnily enough, as I posted that last reply, Ryan @ Fuzzrocious tweeted about active basses and effects, to the tune of "sell it and buy a passive" haha. I run everything totally passive, but then there are plenty of excellent 'effects' players who play active, Justin Chancellor & Janek Gwizdala being a prime example (Wal were 9v pre's). I've not tried the ARC, but being based on the old Tall Fonts is a Silicons (more compressed), with a diode lift option (probably more gainy). The Stache, being based on the later Muff, with the Germs will sound a bit quieter, warmer ('vintage'). I tend to run my Stache in the assymetric LEDs setting (I have LEDs, Germs, Assymetric LEDs), which is massive! But then I run my Rat Tail with LEDs too, so I must just like them Juan Alderete did a great Fuzz Wars series on his website which outlined how each Fuzz is very different, some benfit from a hard touch, others blossom nicer with a soft touch. Obviously a higher output bass will make a soft touch harder as the signal is already pumping out. As Ryan said above, perhaps turn your bass down and your amp up Si
21. From the Fuzzrocious website FAQ: "They work w/ active instruments, too...you may need to turn your volume down, just as you would do with 99% of all other effects w/ actives" However, I imagine that this is all personal preference. I've heard that a LOT of fuzz pedals don't like active instruments for the reasons you mention above. But if you don't try, you don't know Si
22. The HF-2, MD-2 or the Diago, or any combinations thereof (preferably with minimal renumberation from me) Si
23. Bump Si
24. Thanks for the info Phil, just read up a lot on RIAA EQ. I've had an idea and will report back Si
