1. Bet it's an OC-2 Si
2. There seems to be a bit more harmonic content and depth in the Green Muff, having said that, Green Muff's can vary hugely between them, let alone between clones. Probably based on the price, the size and the decent tonal approximation, the BoW would be of interest.....but then for me, buying a kit would work too. I've got a GGG Green Muff I need to finish, so will be interesting to hear that. Si
3. I've never had what I would describe as a noticable drop in volume/tone from using multiple Boss/buffered pedals. There may be a slight change in tone, but whether it's a 'loss' is subjective, often it can be EQ'd out on the amp if you're that way inclined. If the issue is significant, I would point my finger at a faulty pedal somewhere in there. But I agree with Ste above, get rid of the ODB-3, horrible pedal Depending on what version of OC-2 you have, the older Octaver had a slight gain drop, but again, not significant really. Si
4. The Fuzzrocious Grey Stache is a great Muff derivative, loads of options too! Si
5. I've ordered the 84's, will try and do a before and after recording of the bass Cheers Si
6.
I need this in my life, the Mrs wouldn't go for it though, same colour scheme as my Lakland
Then she wouldn't know Si
7. Never heard of them, but some of his pedals are built into Line6 enclosures?! Edit: Oh it's explained in the 'About' section. He basically re-programs Line6 Tonecore pedals Si
8. I think I might order either some Wizard 84's or some Dimarzio UltraJazz. I've had the UJ's before, and remember them being pretty hot, but the 84's have less of an outlay (new at least). The Series/Parallel switch is an idea, but the switch would need to be internal as it's a vintage bass , I do love the S1 switch on my USA Jazz, I just run it in series the whole time. I might just wire the bass in series with the new pickups perhaps. Has anyone directly compared the Wizard 64's with the 84s? Cheers for the suggestions so far! Si
9. Bump Si
10. Cheers bud. Sound nice, although I guess I'll have this problem in general......no comparisons in the video Think the P pickup in my fretless is Lindy Fralin, real nice! Si
11. Hi guys, I'm looking to swap out the Wizard 64s in my Jazz bass, they just aren't cutting it for me, so much quieter than my Precision (fair enough) and US Jazz Standard (not so fair enough). Am looking for high-ish output and a nice fat tone (split coils??) Suggestions. I'm staying passive btw Cheers Si

Arpeggiator?!

Earthquaker Devices are releasing a 125b (enclosure) size arpeggiator called the 'Arpanoid' at summer NAMM. Looks cool! Si
13. Hmmmmmmmm Si
14. Sell the Superbooster....buy this Si
15. Call Newtone strings and tell them what you're trying to do!! http://www.newtonestrings.com/ Si
16. Thank goodness lol, kept eying it up (even though I have one). Awesome overdrive! Si
17. Awesome! Looking forward to seeing them! Si
18. I agree, you have to draw the line between a dabble and actually wanting to acheive something. If you actually want to achieve something, I wouldn't try a pedal that may well simply put you off, you'll move on 3 decent pedals at no loss (if bought second hand) in the same way you can move on 1.....so actually it just comes down to what you can manage as an initial outlay. Again, the benfit of a modular system is that each pedal indivually can also be used for other things.....a synth pedal essentially has one function Si
19. No probs, good luck Si
20. Don't suppose you want a Diago Tourman for that BDPG? :-P Si
21. I didn't really find anything useable on the Digitech Synth, and the straight envelope filter is lacking IMO. However if you ever want to play Technologic by Daft Punk, the EXACT sound is on that pedal lol. I would personally go down the route of seperate Fuzz, Octave, Envelope/Wah pedals. Simply so you have an approximation of the synth sound, but you can also use them individually for any other tunes.....therefore spreading the cost across your set rather than £200 on two songs For example: EHX POG (I think an OC-2 is a better -1 octave, but the POG gives you +1 which helps for synth sounds) MXR Envelope (love this filter, one of very few pedals where I appreciate the clean blend) Fuzz (take your pick of brand) Whether the Fuzz sits in front or behind the filter is your call. To clarify, I've not listened to either track you've mentioned, so just going on 'generic' synth sounds here Si
22. Dammit, really liking this!! Nowhere near you though Si
23. Those knobs manage to make them look cheaper (nastier) than the Mooers though lol Buy the original, support your local pedal builder Si
24. Wow....biggest tuner ever? lol Si
25. Yeah, EQD make stonking pedals, as mentioned, the Dispatch Master gives you Delay & Reverb whilst Ghost Echo is pure Reverb, both very cool pedals. If you want cheap, I'd go for the Marshall Reflector, very good reverb with lotsa options, discontinued now I think. Si
