1.
Here's mine, now complete with COG custom pedal! :-) I'm stopping now, for a while at least!...
Very nice board! Have you ever considered a Boss PS-6 as a smaller alternative to the Whammy? Si

OC-3 Love

Meh Si
3. It's a grey, often debated topic, but there's a different between Fuzz & Distortion. All Fuzz is a type of Distortion, but not vice versa. I would argue that a B3K is an overdrive/distortion pedal as opposed to Fuzz, but it's often down to saturation. Really go crazy on gain and a lot of distortions start to sound like over-saturated fuzz, pull a fuzz pedal back to low gain, some nice low-overdrive sounds can be had. Again, it simply comes back to trying a load and seeing what you like, the B3K is a very popular pedal with active and passive players alike. Si
4.
Here is my sherwood green custom shop, .... custom made with the very same pickup as the one on the Pino Palladino P. flater radius, plays like butter.
Beautiful, but why do people put tort guards on custom-colour Fenders? It's WRROOONNGGG Si
5. That't the one Haven't looked at the wiki for a while, had to remove another fake past member......people are weird! Si
6. Hi guys, Looking for an alternative rock/hardcore type project, currently listening to Dot Hacker, EV Kain, O'Brother, Russian Circles, Dillinger Escape Plan etcetc Lots of experience, own gear, transport etc. Used to play in First Signs Of Frost if that means anything to you (check spotify) I'm a young looking 30, work full time, so whilst I want to take the 'art' seriously, realistically I can't tour month on month on month. Looking for guys in a similar position who want to strategically book awesome shows Cheers Si
7. Pictures or it hasn't arrived . My Knightfall '66' prototype video is up in the COG Affiliates thread, and on YouTube obviously, if anyone is interested Si
8. Definitely recommend Fuzzrocious if you want a bass orientated Rat with more options. They're a small family business in the US though, no dealers over here other than Joes Pedals, so either by from Joe or direct for even more custom options Si
9. Don't believe the handles are failing (see post #2), they are wearing, seemingly in line with the amount of use it gets. Love the sound of my Barefaced, it gets a LOT of use, maybe have to replace the handle once every 18months (as my first one lasted). Had an Ashdown with a recessed handle and it sounded awful......what do I do? Maybe I should lobby Ashdown to change the sound of their cabs based on my personal preferences? Si
10. Lots of people looking to release their own line of flawlessly designed cabs by the looks of it Si
11. It's just that some fuzz circuits and transistor types don't get on with the impedance. The best thing to do is try pedals for yourself and decide. I think the issues are often exaggerated, however a small tonal issue might be enough to put you off a particular pedal. Can't offer too much more as I use passive basses haha Si
12. No way, the fretless is the one!! Get rid of the white Jazz Si
13. You're using active basses so you'll struggle a little with Fuzz. I have a lot of suggestions for awesome Fuzz for passive basses, but active, I'd either have a chat with Tom at COG about a Grand Tarkin with with an Impedance control, or check out the Zvex Mastatron. Si
14. I think he's a great player, always have, very laid back and tasteful! I know he plays a lot on his album, although thought he mostly played guitar live, can see his white Tele sitting at the back. Cheers for posting! Si
15. Best thing you can do is get a refund and buy a Muff derivative from one of the very many builders who offer superior pedals (Fuzzrocious, COG, Gojira, Wren & Cuff, anyone but EHX basically lol). Si

Necks (parts)

Yup, all (good) Fender neck copies should fit on (good) fender body copies. When I say good, I mean if they are licenced, the hole measurements should all match up! Neck pockets can vary in tightness, standard. Try Allparts, WD Music and Warmoth for the best quality wood necks, Status and Modulus if you fancy Graphite. Lots of custom builders will just make you a neck too, Shuker made me a lovely Maple neck with graphite support rods, super stable Si
17. Yup, Rat Tail with LED clipping Or just have the Compressor pushing a bit harder?! Si
18. I'll open up mine when I get home from Ireland. There's 5 Octavers and 2 Octaves to check lol Si

Which Flanger?

My vote goes to the Boss BF-2B (the brown one) Si
20. Gaz is your Dispatch Master grey & white? Custom colour? Si
21. Good choice, I've almost pulled the trigger on a DM a few times. Si
22. From what I understand (and I might have gotten mixed up), the Stache is based on the GGG Tuned Muff, whilst the TFR is obviously based on the Civil War Green Muff. Now largely the differences are just in a few components, a resistor value here, a capacitor value there. But they are both Muff based fuzzes, they will react wildyl different with what you feed them. I've got a GGG Green Muff to finish, I'll try and compare that with my Stache and Fuzz Face build asap. If you go Stache, and want beef, have Ry put Asymmetric LEDs as one of the diode options, Big!! Cheers Si
23. LOVE that GS! And those gold boxes are ace! Si

Finished a 'Jimi' spec Fuzz Face: BC109C transistors Negative ground. Sounds great, although kinda wished I'd placed the Bias on a knob.....oh well, next one Enclosure finishing next. Si
