Guage isn't a great help with tension, it's more to do with core size. Go have a chat with Newtone Strings, tell them what guages you like, and what tuning you want to achieve and they'll make you a set. I used high tension sets exclusively for a few years as I wanted to retain my 45-105 guages in Drop C Standard, obviously the downside is that you can't tune up to E standard. Si

Cool, I'll take a look I had an email back from the admin team who also state that the dates don't get announced until around Jan 2014, which is a bit disappointing, I imagine flights will have soured (no pun intended) in price by then, so we'll see. Some units/effects won't be optimised for low-end if its a guitar specific pedal. Some though, like the Line 6 M series, have a pretty decent EQ capabilities, so work on either. It's whatever sounds good to you! Si
