1. Don't get me wrong, sounds great, nice features......looks horrible!! Why spend 2 years developing a pedal, when you're going to let the intern spend 5 minutes on how it looks lol Si
2. Great trade list!! Good luck with the trade, got two Meatboxes and they're all so characterful! All those Fuzzrocious pedals kick- ass too! Si
3. Re. tuners. I can certainly understand essentially wanting a full-on killswitch and so placing it at the end of the chain. It really all depends on what effects you use and how many. Distortion will probably not help the tuner track due to all the harmonics being generated, and anything else extreme like filters, delays, pitch-shifters etc are just going to spaz it out. So on a small board like Gaz's it wouldn't be a problem, switching things off before a tune is easy. On a larger board with weirder effects, I'd want it at the start, then if noise was an issue, a gate at the end. Si
4. I love that all the things they could have taken from the Pitchfactor and one is the Tuner lol Also, although it has some presets, it looks like all other Eventide sounds need to be purchased onto it. So yeah, it's success will be down to the base unit price and the extra-preset prices. Si
5. "Humans may lose the desire to throw away unneeded items because of a feeling of attachment to these item" OC-2's?.........Unneeded? .......Whatchoo talkin' 'bout? Si
6.
yup - i had a 2002 bassdrive for many years but eventually replaced it with the BB as I preferred the EQ of the xotic pedal. I use a booster in front of the BB and this pushes it in a v similar way to using the boost function on the bassdrive... just back from practise, and changed my board up a bit, as I'm using a P now instead of a jazz... v happy with this little setup I prefer how my grey stache sounded with the jazz, but using the precision, the TFR sounds a bit better to me - meaty as hell
Really cool setup! Although tuner at the end? That would annoy me, having to turn pedals off to get a true reading, best at the start IMO Si
7. The PS-2 is pretty standard, 1 octave up and down and delays upto 2000ms. PS-3 for you Si
8. They do '62 & '75 models as P/J configurations!!! Si
9. Stuart is a great guy, I know him very well. But for this, I'd be more inclined to go to Andy Viccars in MK. Si
10. Have to say, I'm pretty happy with the experience now I have my DL-4 back. I was a little grumpy that they didn't sort the (very minor as it turns out) switch issue, even after I bought it up, but I fixed that myself after some Google help in 10 seconds. £50, 5-day turnaround, they sent the pedal back in a DL-4 box with manual (where there wasn't one before), nice people on the phone. Cool Si
11. Just for anyones future info, the issue was literally just that the nut was loose on the switch. Tightened it up and the switch works just fine! Si
12. You could perhaps look at a preamp to help your P-bass, but to he honest, effects pedals are for augmentation, not for building a core sound (IMO). You need a decent core tone that you're happy with to then start building pedals on top to add 'interest' (if it's needed/wanted). If you want a stingray sound.....buy a stingray. Si
13. Awesome pedals, tube-like drive to full distortion. Si
14.
Hi! So.. it's Friday night and I've been for a noodle with my new board set up for 2013.. powered by the Carl Martin pro power.. It's been loadsa fun putting this board together (Pedaltrain 2) over the last 6-months, and almost everything, except the H.O.F, is used/second-hand mainly from on-line auctions.. or given away free *TC Corona Chorus* as part of the promotion for the BH250. There are no passengers and everything is used - but not all at the same time. The chain is; GP12XV preamp > Polytune > EQ-20 > OC-2 > Octave deluxe > MXR Auto Q > Corona > Vortex > H.O.F > Nova Dynamics > BBE Sonic Stomp .. still have GAS for Source Audio SA170 programmable EQ, TC flashback delay, BOSS LS-2 and the MXR M87 compressor.. the Nova Dynamics and EQ-20 eat some serious Ma (600+ between them) and leave a large footprint.. so we'll see what 2013 turns up!
Get yourself a Gigrig Generator, 5amps of power, never worry about ma ratings again lol Si

It's the standard Mad Beans Slow Lorris, so it's essentially a Rat (LM308) with the Ruetz mod (a frequency clipping sweep) and diode selection (diodes/none/leds). Should be cool, looking forward to the Egghead (Clark Gainster) and the Green Russian Muff kit to Si
16. Great, thanks for the info Si
17. There's a bunch of information relating to just lubing it up, making sure the nut is tight etc. I could replace the switches obviously. Annoyingly it's just come back from the Line6 repair department as the DSP chip and gone kaput, I bought up the switch issue but they reckoned it was all working fine.....its not. booo Si
18. Has anyone had a DL-4 (or another in the modelling range) that has sticky footswitches, essentially unresponsive switches that take a number of stomps before they engage. Any fixes? Cheers Si

Just a couple of Mad Beans PCBs I'm working on: Si
20. I love that their opening gambit is: "Ditto Looper is the looper you try once and love for life and you’ve simply got to try it! TC has taken all that is good about loopers, trimmed away all the non-essential, mood-killing tech hoopla and ended up with a looper that is intuitive, tons of fun, sounds great and doesn’t break the bank" This is from TC who bought us the Flasback x4 recently lol Si
21. Yeah stacking distortions is very common, but obviously you're adding gain to gain, so you have to be careful of your signal level, you could simply be pushing your amp a bit hard. Pull the levels of the two pedals back a bit. Si

Sure, thanks for the info, I'll be working from the GGG Green Russian schem when the PCB arrives, and also from this Mids mod: http://rkerkhof.ruhosting.nl/Taas/Mods/Big%20Muff.htm Is that a 25k log or Lin pot? Cheers Si

What type of pot might I use for a mids control on a muff clone? Cheers Si
