1.
I'm about to buy a Grey Stache, I would have bought one weeks ago if I wasn't being so indecisive about which mods to go for! I'll report back once I've made my mind up.
So which mods did you decide on? Si
2.
Cool, you got a Sonic Kitchen! How you like it?
Yeah it's really good! It's actually got a better high gain tone to the Xotic, whilst the Xotic has a wider range from low-gain to high. So I set the SK as heavy gain, with the Xotic set to real low tubey overdrive. Si
3. Thought I'd try and show some love for US pedal builder Fuzzrocious, there's a few guys on here with them, so lets get the UK contingent showing http://basschat.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/%3C#EMO_DIR%23%3E/smile.png. For those that don't know the company, they're a family run business, with Ryan building them & his wife Shannon painting them. To cut down the wait time, you can opt to not have Shannon paint, and have Stamped or Etched. However, the more popular seems to be their 'Kid-Paint' option, whereby your pedal can be painted by their young children (2 & 4 years old). www.fuzzrociouspedals.com/ Below is my: Grey Stache with Oscillation & Gate mods (Kaeden paint) Broke Richard Peanut Gallery with enclosure painted by Shep On Bass (Pantherairsoft) Rat Tail with 2nd Drive mod (Raeven paint) Oh 'She' Demon (Shannon paint) http://i47.tinypic.com/rapzex.jpg For those that don't know the company, they're a family run business, with Ryan building them & his wife Shannon painting them.
New pedal just about finished - Green Big Muff I sourced some NOS Russian transistors for this (same as those used in the original pedals) to give it that authentic vibe... Sounds awesome on bass
Looks great, did you finIsh the enclosure yourself? If not, where are you sourcing painted enclosures? Cheers Any soundclips? Si
7. Looking for any trades at all? Si
8. I should be there on the Sunday Si
9. Hi all, Diago Tourman pedal-board in good condition, couple of little marks on the top - SOLD - Bucks & Herts areas Solid as a rock, can stand on it without it flexing in any way. No pedals/cables included obviously Open to trades potentially, although there's really not much I'm after, OC-2's always welcome, suggestions taken. Quite interested in trying a Boss PQ-3B. Fuzzrocious trades potentially SOLDSOLDSOLD Cheers Si
10. Ah I've wanted try a PH-1 or 1r I love my PH-2 though! Although the PH-3 does have a tap tempo which could be cool! Si
11. I figure you can't have too many spares of a pedal that gets used in every musical situation lol. I do love OC-2s, it's a little hobby . I've never tried all 7 together, I'm not sure the earth's orbit is strong enough.....then add in the two Meatboxes?! Si
12.
you're gonna need a preamp with that.
Which of the 5 in the list do you recommend? lol Si
13. It didn't actually take that long, it was mostly in my head.......which is probably even sadder! Ah I thought you were selling the SD-2 Shep? Gaz whatcha got? I had an SG-1 as well, but didn't work too well with bass so moved it on. I'd like a PQ-3B too. Si

15. The PH-2 is a really great Phaser! Really versatile Si
16.
I hope this isn't the start of a slippery slope to bigger things... but I've finally bitten the bullet and decided the PT mini is too small for my needs!!! I'm having a trial run on a PT-Jr sized board, and if I get on with it at practise, will probably get a PT-Jr and voodoo PP2+ setup... (powering this with a diago at the mo) pretty straightforward chain: phat phuk B to BB preamp to TFR to PN-2 into RE-20 then TU-2. The three boost/dirt pedals sit really well together, as the PPB can drive the BB nicely, and the BB into the TFR is massive The space is for a chorus when I make my mind up (probably a TC corona)... Hopefully this should stay the same for a while, I've been using most of these pedals for quite some time, just kept swapping them off and back onto the smaller board!
Great looking board with some top effects, although the space should really be taken up by an OC-2 Si

What brand pedal is it? Si
18. Great inclusion of a DM-3, love mine, awesome analogue delay!. Great GGG Muff too, currently building a GGG Green Russian with mids Si
19.
If you decide to do that I can send you a socket for free - Years ago I ordered a 100 pack from China but they messed up and sent me 1000 instead
Brilliant :-D Si

Boxed up another little project This is a custom painted enclosure by our very own Shep (Pantherairsoft). The circuit is a Fuzzrocious 'Broke Dick Peanut Gallery', or BDPG for short, a high-gain preamp, an awesome sounding overdrive! Next to be boxed up are a GGG Green Russian Muff with AMZ mids control mod, a Mad Beans Rat clone and a Mad Beans Gainster clone. Also working on a AMZ clean boost, and a Zvex Super Hard-On clone. Si
21. I've always thought it sounded great on guitar, just lead work mind, it's not a chordal distortion IMO. I used it for a while on bass, until I realized that there were pedals by Xotic & Fuzzrocious etc that do bass overdrive/fuzz/distortion much better. Having said that the MD-2 blows the ODB-3 out the water, no question! Si
22. Not nice I'll stick with my Earthquaker Devices Organizer thanks Si
23.
agreed - i'm interested in this, but the thing I love about my BB preamp is the 2 band EQ (same reason I like the SFT)... I still don't see the point in this obsession with blend controls with dirt pedals, there is certainly no need for one on the BB or the SFT... and I don't miss one on my grey stache.
This....exactly actually Si
24. Yes, a sun-harmonic generator. It creates a lower octave, and then (controllably) boosts that low octave at around 72hz & 30hz Si
25. The Marshall Reflector is great, and often cheap. The TC Hall Of Fame gets a lot of love. The Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master is a great Delay/Reverb combo pedal, each can be used individually too. Si
