1. I've got one of these and I love it! This is a great price, especially since they are near impossible to get outside of Japan nowadays! I paid about 380 for mine a few years ago and thought that was a steal! Bump for a beautiful bass!
 2. Nice looking bass, but pretty sure this isnt a Precision Lyte- i've owned 2 (still have one) The 80's CIJ lyte's would have a matching painted heatstock (typically)-the word LYTE in scroll being clearly visible. The pickup config would be P&J with active preamp (four knobs) and the body is roughly 3/4 the size of a standard precison. The later Japanese and much later American made Lyte Deluxe models would have p and humbucking pup configs. What this is, IMO, is a CIJ Precison Special (same series as the famous jazz specials from the same period) Cheers Basshead56
 3. Well played mate. Gorgeous bass. Wish you and your fiance all the best
 4. Yeah the Hoppus underwent a terrible relic job on the back and upper contour/bout. Coulda killed ben for that, but 250 euro! forget it! Yeah The P-Lyte is black or really kinda dark green with goldflake in it. Very strange colour, but love it! The old Misfits throw-instant cool to any terrible sofa! lol. Cheers mate!
 5. It is a bit of an eye catcher alright.lol Thanks mate
 6.
Im drawn to that P lyte. Looks ace.
Fantastic bass! bit of a Ronseal thing- does exactly what it says on the tin! Weighs very little-just under 7 pounds I think. Has a Dtuner key fitted which is pretty handy. Recorded with it last year and VERY happy with the results. One of the guys at the studio wanted to buy it off me after we´d finished the first day of drum and bass tracks, but I was having none of it! Very versatile bass and perfect for long gigs! The active electronics are top drawer as well!
 7.
What in the world drew you to the Mustang!?!? I haven't seen such a weird looking bass in a long time, which is a shame, as the rest of your family are gorgeous! I especially like the Gibson Thunderbird - very lovely (even though I personally can't get my head around 5 strings!)
Needs is must I´m afraid- I NEEDED it! No, I bought it a few years back cause my kid sis plays too and she wanted to borrow one. She wasn´t getting on with her Squier Jazz cause her hands are too small. I also fancied a shortscale cause I didnt have one , So I bought one and leant it to her to record with her band. She has since moved back to the guitar, so in its lovely original 60´s case (got it for free) it sleeps, though I do use it from time to time (headphones, bedroom type situations) It does have a lovely warm tone, just a bit weak when cranked up full. The TBird I got for the same reasons almost I didn´t have any 5 strings so decided if I was going to break 2 taboos, (Must be 4 strings, must be Fender) then Id do so with one bass!hehe Gibson for a Fender-head, the shame! Honestly though, it is a fantastic bass! Switched the tuning so its eadgc as I find low B too heavy metal (I know, I know) and it sounds incredible. pups are mega-high outputs! Had to drink plenty of milk on account of the bone rattlin´! No neck dive either! amazing for a Thunderbird! Neck is very thin and fast too. Prefer it to the standard Thunderbirds I´ve tried over the years. Cheers
 8. Would love to get my hands on any of these: An Old Gretsch bass, A 62 RI Precision, Fiesta Red or Oly White, 76-78 Fender Precision Black maple neck. Same as above but in OLY white, Fender Jag in HR Red, Dean Stylist Cabbie Gibson RD Artist, Black or Sunburst, Gibson Victory Atrist, Red Warwick Chrome Tone Warwick Vampyre-dont care which one! Any decent Ricenfaker
 9. Ok, maybe its just an Irish thing, but what about these: A) A Phil Lynott sig P Bass (seing as Rory Gallagher go a strat) Obviously a black 70´s style Precision to begin with, p and J pups, Chrome mirror scratchplate. A Squier version could simply be that Special Edition Precision Mirror one that was around a few years ago, but without the matching headstock A Mike McKeegan (Therapy?) Sig Warwick Streamer Chrome Tone? There could be a Rockbass version of this too I guess (would love a cheap chrome tone!) C) A Mark Hamilton (Ash) Sig Gibson Thunderbird- with a special design/thinner body, bridge and neck allowing only 3 strings? seeing as he only ever has three on his TBirds at any stage. Epiphone could put out a similar one too.
 10. Kim Deal Fender Precision. She has to be the coolest Female Bass player of all time! or at least up there-definately better than Melissa Auf der Mar, D´Arcy Wretzky, Kim Gordon, Melanie Cambell and dare I say it, gulp, Tina Weymoth. Though I did read somewhere that she had to be told that bass strings need changing!hehe Still, amazing player and her basslines are the heart and soul of the Pixies sound I reckon. Based on Kim´s Fiesta/Coral red Fender Precision. as far as I remember, It is a 62 reissue (maybe one of the 83 ones?) So would have to be modeled on this. Worn Silver Pickguard shield obviously. and New Strings! There could be a squier one too I guess.maybe same build as VM series Precision, just with upgraded (non Duncan) pups and obviously fiesta red, not OLY white. Thoughts anyone?
 11.
The all new Fender 'Matt Freeman' Road Worn 70's Precision Bass Guitar. Based on Matt's original 1977 Precision as used in operation ivy and later with his band rancid. This bass is white with a black pickguard. Rosewood neck, varnish sanded off for super fast scales and arpeggios. This bass will make you feel like you've been giging with it for years!
+1- amazing bass player!
 12.

Seriously good looking Fernandes there mate! Would love to try one out!
 13. These basses look amazing. Tried one when I was in Manchester earlier this year, just didnt get enough time to fiddle with it/figure out ´Mission Control´-style electronics! Nonetheless... Right to the top of my GAS list!!! Hot Rod Red of course! And here I was thinking a cherryburst 78 ´Prescription´ was the cure!
 14.
That cherryburst '78 is gorgeous mate! What do you think to the Mike Dirnt? It's been one of those "nearly" basses for me for ages...
The 78 is my latest GAS spoil. i have honestly never heard any P bass like it! it is so deep and punchy. The Dinrt, I like, but dont use it as much anymore tbh. check out my above reply. My advice is check one out in Dawsons or somewhere (dunno much about UK music stores outside of Manchester or Liverpool!) They are great basses and if you get to run one through an SVT, you will be very happy indeed! Scouts honour and all that!
 15.
Nice set up sir, an extensive collection there, and a bit of a rocker I presume? I loved my White Epi TB, cracking basses, and I was fond of my 78 P bass too, should've kept that one. How do the Dirnt and Hoppus compare? I've had my eye on both in the past.
Cheers mate, Yeah, punk and horror rock would be what I play most, but iplay rockabilly, swing and electro aswell Yeah, delighted with them. been collecting for ages. The Epi, I´m not 100% crazy about. It looks the business, but I preferred the Tokai I sold a few months back tbh.Sounds a bit lightweight-though that is against my GIbson. Still, it looks amazing! i got the Dirnt as a present from some old bandmates the week they were launched and used it as my main bass for about 2 years or so, with my standard jazz playing second fiddle. it was my first ever precision and I loved the sound.Plus they look great if your band is playing any 50´s type rock or blues.I had been lusting after a pink hoppus since I picked up bass and when I got one for 250euro from a mate who was leaving Ireland... I LOVE the Hoppus, so much so that I modded the pups on the Dirnt to match! The Dirnt is quite heavy but has a lovely resonance and great neck profile. The Hoppus would be my fav of the 2, its lighter and has a ery simple setup (one knob) and an unbelievable growl and snap (and its pink!)
 16.
Hello I've got an EHX Bass Microsynth pedal, still boxed with manual, power supply etc in mint condition. Bought it about 5 years ago but only ever used it for a few practice sessions. I'll sell it for £100 or swap for a decent gigbag or hardcase. Cheers
What sort of gigbag? I have a very heavy duty one I could swap. it has loads of pockets and will fit any shap bass. has held a Thunderbird and precisions and jazzes I would love this pedal!
 17.
Great collection. We have similar tastes. I like the converse too. Less keen on the curtain but that's more one for www.curtainchat.co.uk surely?
Curtains have been swapped out for blinds as of last week, thank god! Never liked em! Yeah, am a bit of a Fenderphile, but hey, if it aint broke... Cheers mate.
 18.
Nice collection. You like Fenders then?
haha, you could say that mate.

 20. How much to post the coffin case pedal bag to Ireland?
 21.
Anyone who looks at the decal on the headstock should notice that it looks like a 6 year old applied it. It's all over the place. Who Knows what the body is, could be a genuine one, hence the bids..
I agree, that headstock decal looks incredibly suss! Never seen one of these before. May as well be a ´ Fecker Pretender Bass´-another star of Ebay
 22. Is there any way of shipping this to Ireland? Am VERY VERY INTERESTED in this!

 24. Hi, Just wondering if you might be persuaded to part with the scratchplate? I too have a 78 precision and cant seem to find one that will fit it. The ugly white one on mine just wont do!
