1. Does anyone have hands-on-experience with this? I suddenly want one but I got my doubts also.
 2. Hi. This is pre-83 'cause the head has vertical inputs. The cab has four 12" speakers which were also available until 1983. So I'd say this is 1981-1983 half stack. The cab model is 1935B and the head model 1992 as someone already said. Both part of the JCM 800 Bass series.

 5. Hi guys. I haven't seen this post before, but I hope you enjoyed the video on YouTube. There will be an other set of 3 videos "soon"… Or later. But anyway. I'm still trying to source the some more amps for that. But this time it won't be a blind test. Too many confusions in the YouTube comments. Here's the first 23!!! amps in SoundCloud. Please feel free to browse. https://soundcloud.com/jakkeko/sets Cheers, -J
 6.
Best call matamp with the serial, they'll tell you everything right.
I actually asked it via email...
... It has ECC81-ECC83-ECC81 preamp tubes in it... Most likely stock but I was just wondering is this the way it should be? Can ECC83 be used instead of the 81 in V1 for more gain? -J

Hi J, The answer is yes CHEERS LIZ @ MATAMP
Yes to all? Maybe... Hehe. You can really count on their replys.
 7.
What's in V1 now? Be surprised is an ECC83 isn't stock. Better off having Matamp mod it for more gain.
Mine had (and still has) an ECC81 in V1 and V3. V2 is ECC83. Not sure if it is the stock configuration as I bought the amp from the market place on BassChat. Does anyone know what is the stock tube configuration? Sending it back to Matamp is not my first choice as I'm not living in UK.
 8. Has anyone tried ECC83 as V1 in the 1st gen?? GT200 (classic matamp controls, drive - depth - bass - treble... no mids)? I'd like to get a little bit more gain from the preamp as I'm now boosting it with the booster. The new GT200 seems to have 2 ECC83's in the preamp... But the circuit has to be completely different anyway. So ECC83 or the booster... That is the question.

 13.
I've got an IBS 4 x 10 cab. Its surprisingly good, took me ages to find out what it was, never seen a Marshall bass cab like it. Would love another one, or the 2x15 or 4x12 to go with it. Any ideas? Do you have any of this gear?
Late reply... Sorry about that. I actually have IBS 2x15" and 4x12". 2x15" is with original Sidewinders and the 4x12" has two non-original sidewinders and two Eminence Tonkers. These cabs sounds like Marshall cabs... Not the deepes or richest bass tone, but a great tone for distorted rock etc. The 4x12" has good cleans too if the amp and the settings are "suitable" for the cab. I've been using them with Orange AD bass head, 70's DR201 and 70's JMP 1986 bass head. With more modern heads like JCM 800 bass... Well not my cup of tea.
