  1. What BRX says. I have a Behringer desk with Firewire and USB2 multi channel outputs. Using a FW400 - FW800 adapter it used to work fine with my old iMac. When I got a new iMac I needed a FW - TB adaptor. The desk doesn't work over FW, but still does using USB. Whilst FW was much better as it used dedicated controller chips at either end, so didn't suck processor cycles like USB. I've found there to be no real issue using the USB2 interface, even when capturing 10-12 channels of audio. Unless you can afford a Thunderbolt interface (bearing in mind that TB3 uses a USB-C style connector, so you may need an adaptor for older TB interfaces), you may as well just look at USB2/3 ones.
  2. You effectively said: That name to that bass is given because of what it had to experience with it is owner.
  3. It was the 5th anniversary of Chris Cornell’s death yesterday. So for the last two days I’ve been listening to Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave and his solo stuff…
  4. According to the website: Interior Length 12.25 " Interior Width 19 " Interior Height 7 " Exterior Length 17.5 " Exterior Width 21.5 " Exterior Height 9.5 "
  5. The 2nd image is a male/female cable. Edit: oh, just saw the prices...
  6. Having an Alice in Chains morning: Mike Starr had such a great tone (So does Mike Inez, come to think of it)
  7. To update. Favourite bass: Aria Pro II SB B&G, because it's really easy to play and it looks awesome.
  8. Some heavy Crust punk with cello… Anopheli
  9. Yeah, I was a little surprised too.
  10. Well, when I asked I got the following response from Dave Green: "with regard to your question on the eq section of the CTM 300, changing the Eq circuit will not increase the range of the controls only move the frequencies somewhat, variuos people have treid differing combinations only to return to standard."
  11. Discovered Kenyan artist Coco Em this morning. I've listened to her debut EP about 6 times already today.
  12. I went with a Morley Power Fuzz Wah...
  13. Very true. My favourite festival is Supersonic in Brum. Always a very mixed lineup and I always discover a few new bands each time.
  14. Why post then? Anyhow, Desertfest looks awesome. But, as much as I love Shellac, Not really sure they fit with the rest of the line up 😁
  15. If it's still fully working then that's probably the best bet. I got the Armstrong because 1/2 the original pickup failed.
  16. I've just been comparing my Armstrong loaded SB Elite with my original SB Black & Gold. The output from the Armstrong is so much lower than the original Aria pickup, despite that it's meant to be matched. Plugging into Logic and using a meter, with everything set the same, the Armstrong is about 8dB down. Once Rautia start taking orders again I shall be getting a replacement. I quite fancy trying one of his multi coil pickups and a Lusithand preamp
  17. But they're the wrong people getting signature basses... 😉 Personally I can't stand Joe Dart, or the basses, but I can understand why EB have done them.
  18. Rautia aren't taking new orders at the moment.
  19. Al has got himself a new toy…
  20. Nice! I've always wanted to do a Mike Watt tribute EB too. I picked up an Epi EB3 last year, it's black and 34" though.
  21. I have serious GAS for one of these, because my guitar doesn't really like the BEBEAA tuning I'm using. https://www.gretschguitars.com/gear/build/solid-body/g5260-electromatic-jet-baritone-with-v-stoptail/2516002519
