1.
Yes under the truss rod - any sign of a faded stamp or numbers at all? Red or green or black?
A lot of Fenders DID NOT have the date stamped on the heel of the neck at this time. There was quite a debate about it when I sold my genuine 74 a few years back. If I get the chance I will try to find it.
2. Thank God this is rosewood, otherwise I would not be able to resist. GREAT price (imo) despite the hole. GLWTS
3.
WOW This is great news Karl! I'm very happy for you!
Cheers!!!!
Result...so (another) wee spending spree about to commence one presumes?!
5th being pleaded Dougie
4. CREDIT CARD COMPANY got me my money back I am now about to ring Her Who Makes Toast By Breathing On Bread, to see if I can have my testicles back Big sigh of relief, lesson learned.
5. Very nice, 'av a bermp.
6. Surprised this is still here at that price
7. Regretful sale.
8. Where to start http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251796731674?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
9. Well the seller is the forge plant!
10. Up to date again, many many thanks for all the Troyen and BBGM likes folks, much appreciated. Two weeks to the release of the first Troyen "album". Only 34 years in the making
11. Interesting. So many good basses up at the moment I'm seriously considering selling my wonderful Limelight. I knew I shouldn't have got a rosewood board, they never feel right to me. Food for thought because that Black, maple boarded P is just stunning. Hmm, time for a good think. GLWTS regardless
12. I know I'm dozy but where's the P price please?
13. Surely to God somebody (especially a business) expecting that sort of money would do potential customers the courtesy of photos of pots, back of pups, back of scratchplate, neck pocket, neck end etc.
14. One in Arbroath, a FEEBay one in Forfar, you lot up the eastside nick all the Bongo's? Lovely, bump.
15. I keep thinking of sacrificing my Limelight by selling to part fund this. I will always be able to get my Limelight remade, but these are so rare, especially in this condition. Mind, it would be one Hell of a wrench
16. Front and back, notice the Limelight 00134 written on back of headstock. Won't be selling that as a Fender without serious sanding
17. I've done a couple of deals with Barrie and his shop. Both aware of each others needs, his being to make a profit. That he does, but he doesn't PROFITEER. And his/shops service is absolutely second to none. So there are realistic businesses businesses out there, with realistic prices AND trade in prices.
18. If I've missed anybody (I'm Karl Altdorfer on Faecesbook), please pm me and I will rectify. Fairly sure I have got all though. Not following as many as on the first couple of days. Simply because my phone never stopped beeping with notifications
19. That looks really great Mike, a playable Pino for smaller hands. Very tempting purely because I'm weak GLWTS
20. I was under the impression VAT wasn't applicable on used equipment? If a dealer has something out at top whack and offers insult on trade, they are POTENTIALLY losing profit on 2 transactions. A lot of folk decide to sell something and check the prices on FEEBAY. Most folk slap around 15% on to cover their FEEbay costs. For example my Thumb. £1150 on t'bay (inc courier) £900 on here (not inc courier). Then the even more ambitious look at Andy Baxter
21. I've disliked the Tbird since I bought one 20 years ago. Even taking that into account what were they thinking of with them new pups
22.
And I suppose not all bands are to everyone's taste - I liked all those in the list regardless of musical content, but maybe that's not the idea?
I've liked everybody as well. To be honest if we can't give a little bit of blind support to like minded muso's, especially when all it costs is a few seconds, it's a bit of a poor show
23. Change it over to passive and roll of the volume on the J pup. Most of the time Folk put J's on P's in the 70's for a very good reason and for many, including me, a passive P/J just covers most needs.
