[/quote] A lot of Fenders DID NOT have the date stamped on the heel of the neck at this time. There was quite a debate about it when I sold my genuine 74 a few years back. If I get the chance I will try to find it.

    I keep thinking of sacrificing my Limelight by selling to part fund this. I will always be able to get my Limelight remade, but these are so rare, especially in this condition. Mind, it would be one Hell of a wrench

    I've done a couple of deals with Barrie and his shop. Both aware of each others needs, his being to make a profit. That he does, but he doesn't PROFITEER. And his/shops service is absolutely second to none. So there are realistic businesses businesses out there, with realistic prices AND trade in prices.

    I was under the impression VAT wasn't applicable on used equipment? If a dealer has something out at top whack and offers insult on trade, they are POTENTIALLY losing profit on 2 transactions. A lot of folk decide to sell something and check the prices on FEEBAY. Most folk slap around 15% on to cover their FEEbay costs. For example my Thumb. £1150 on t'bay (inc courier) £900 on here (not inc courier). Then the even more ambitious look at Andy Baxter

    Change it over to passive and roll of the volume on the J pup. Most of the time Folk put J's on P's in the 70's for a very good reason and for many, including me, a passive P/J just covers most needs.
