  1. I normally withdraw a bass after 2 weeks. I put them up at a cash price that I think is fair to buyer & seller. On the rare occasion folk don't agree, I usually keep it 🙂. Invariably, a few weeks later somebody gets in touch. Anyway, for the time being I'm leaving the advert live as there are 2 folk on the fund raising trail, and one considering a trade I was interested in. Thanks for all the interest peeps.
  2. It's well documented on T***bass that the American Specials had a body that was 1/8th of an inch thinner, front to back. So most are a little lighter than the full blow US basses of the time. Wish I could re-find the long thread on T***bass ☺️
  3. Stunning Dave, I don't play fretless but what a bass this is. That fingerboard, wow, & great mods. Pro level instrument.
  4. Hiya Dunc, yeah things ok now mate. Sorry for the late reply was gigging at Whitby last night & catching up with stuff today. And snoring, yes, a lot of snoring. 3 more inquiries on this bass again today but currently still available. Keep a look out for somebody putting up a very nice fretless tomorrow night 😉
  5. Oh yus! Surprisingly some PM's replied to. Dave, gutted your's was fretless, gorgeous bass.
  6. Black, black, maple. Fender Deluxe range became Elite then Ultra. This was £1350 in 2013. Fender humbuckers, 5 position switch, 18V pre amp, bass/mid/treble cut or boost. Asymmetrical neck with compound taper fretboard (9.5 inch to 14 inch). Really super necks, with graphite rods & a truss rod WHEEL, yay! 41.3mm nut, weight is 9lb 1oz, Ash body. Comes with original big TSA hardcase in excellent condition. All case candy, even case keys, included. Despite Fender doing a full range of these from a single pup passive Squier right up to this top of the range model, they never really caught on. Perhaps too modern for most Fender lovers. Most who have them rate them rather highly. Last of my active basses to go, I just don't use them, this has never left the house. TRADES. I would prefer a sale however I would do a straight swap for a 2102-2015 American Precision in excellent condition. Possibly American Special Precision + £150 to me. COURIER. I'd rather not, it's big case & it's going to cost a buyer around £70 fully insured (obviously cheaper if they want to take the risk). Prefer collection from Darlington but would meet up within a hundred miles radius. Feedback available, many thanks for looking, cheers, Karl.
  7. Oooooh, itch itch 🤔❤️
  8. Lovely bass & top bloke. Good luck Brian, I love this series.
  9. Wonderful basses & Lozz is such a great guy to deal with. Shame my Jazz hasn't gone we'd have been in for a road trip Lozz. Good luck mate, doubt it will be here tomorrow.
  10. I'm surprised as well Marc but it's no biggie. They aren't making them anymore so only likely to appreciate.
  11. Bah, should never have sold mine, you're making me sulk now 😪😆 Good luck, cracking bass.
  12. Tha knows where yon pocket is lad 😁 I've done 4 gigs in the last month & despite even my beloved Green Jeanie, I've discovered the only bass I need is my slightly modified Jazz Elite.
  13. Thanks folks, yes indeed, good basses. I do kinda need a cash injection in the not too distant future, but not yet, so I'll just see what happens.
  14. Old story Vin, if my Jazz goes in time sod the money 😆
  15. Might be worth keeping Rich, the way new & used prices are going. This one was in a Deluxe case under the stairs 😃 (although the case doesn't belong to it & isn't included). Thought I'd give it a run out last night & very nice it was too.
  16. Made in 2008 for release at winter NAMM 2009. These early models did not have the circular CNC route under the scratchplate, so can be used with the plate off, which I do. Original scratchplate & screws are included. THEY DID, however, have ROAD W stamped into the body as these first ones were select Alder & the first non Fender Custom Shop Road Worn finish basses. Weight 8lb 14oz. Comes with original tatty but functional gigbag. They have a very good rep, please do your research. As they are now discontinued (last rrp was £1279) they will most likely come up less often. Sale as I need the money. Collection from Darlington preferred, or buyer to organise/pay for own courier. Feedback available. Thanks for looking, Karl
  17. Just seen, gutted 😪
  18. Badges are a disappointment.
  19. Not so sure about Root Beer finish being limited, might want to double check that. What I am sure of as an opinion borne of personal experience, is that these basses are ridiculously under rated. Compound radius neck & fretboard with wheel truss rod adjustment. Relatively light weight. Very powerful & versatile pickups that sound astonishing with flats yet punch for Britain with rounds. IMO these should change hands at the same sort of money as Deluxe/Elite P or J's. IF I ever sold mine, it would be for more than this! GLWTS.
  20. Leo decided to buy a Strat it seems 🤨 Discontinued for a couple of years now apparently.
