1.
Ah are you sure it's not a scratchplate?
who can ever be sure of something like that!
2. ^^ what he said Plus, as someone else already stated, they're indestructible. Of course, if you're looking for hi fi sound, I retract my suggestion.
3. I have one exactly like that, colour and all. I checked the headstock, and I can confirm that it doesn't say "jazz" anywhere, and that the big white patch is infact a pickguard.
4. Keep the peavey markIV head, and invest in a top quality cab (4x10, 2x12)?
5.
Not ebay but cash converters - I was in the store on Dalry Rd in Edinburgh and they have an Ibanez Roadstar II bass in - a websearch tells me it is an RB760BK - looks to be in fair condition, quite a few dings but looks pretty good. The price was £119 - might be a good deal for someone (the wife will kill me if I buy it!) Andy
shouldn't have read this...
6. ...tempted... I could see this working well in my practice room setup. Cause i ain't moving it once it's in
7.
I considered them for myself, but they're HEAVY. Over 30kg.
Fair enough, hadn't considered the weight issue. I'm still going to go and ogle them this weekend...
8. Eude, have you checked out the new TC electronic combos? Also here Both guitarguitar and red dog music in edinburgh have them in stock, at £609 for the 2x10, and £549 for the 1x15. I am planning a perving session on saturday or sunday

10. Ever thought of a resonator bass? There is one for sale in an edinburgh shop. I played it some days ago, and it is quite loud, i suppose...
11. Awesome. I particularly enjoyed your video of improvisations in lydian mode, esp the strumming bits.
12. Well the dano is back for sale! So jazz sold, dano for sale, cheap acoustic for sale!
13.
Alex, stick me in between Largo & razze06 as I'm logistically between them both. Also, I'm still waiting on you sending me a Barefaced badge that I designed!! cheers D.
Is this still valid? Is Largo going to get it first, then deksawyer, and then me?

I'm unfortunately busy that night, but best luck!
15. Peavey amps and cabs tend to have big handles in bad positions, which, combined with their bulk and weight, makes carrying them rather awkward. At least the old ones did... Maybe the owners tried to put handles in more sensible places? Scratchy pots and sliders is usually nothing a good squirt of contact cleaner won't fix, Baskesman. I need to take mine for a service soon as well, and from the looks of it, it's the first one it ever had...
16. Can anyone recommend an amp tech in edinburgh?
17. Jazz sold, dano on hold, acoustic for sale
18.
I'm in, I'm in :-) just got a 400B Mk 3 head!
Good man :-)
