1. Ha. Sounds about right. This particular one is in the hands of Me Bassman on this very forum now. If the Dolphin one went down the pan, I do believe Keith was looking to move it on... Complete with the upgrades knobs I put on it Shep
2. Ha, No worries. A bumps as good as a sale
3. Great great basses these. One of the best in it's price range I've ever played. Also nice to play an Ibanez with a more 'traditional' neck profile...
4. Had a flurry of PM's today... Just want to confirm that I'm only looking for a sale as I'm aiming to fund a new Roscoe. No trade options I'm afraid (unless it's a Roscoe of course ). Big bump... Oh, and happy Easter folks!
5.
There was a rather cool looking Surine advertised on here a few years ago. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...8&hl=surine
Ooooooo that is nice... Not as nice as this GB though
6. Agreed. LC's style these days hardly shouts Sab does it! I just googled the vid on YouTube to see it with my own eyes… you're not wrong!
7.
Just a question: If you're using the kill switch so that it doesn't drain batteries when you're not playing, wouldn't an active/passive switch have the same effect? If you're worried about it getting knocked and making a noise, roll down the volume (assuming you usually have it at max) or mute your amp/pull out the jack a little for the same effect.
I was just thinking the same thing… ?
8. Played the first gig last night with the EA Micro 550 & Wizzy... Wow! Huge sound. Very tight and focused, cut through the mix fantastically... And the rig went on my back, on the bus to the gig!! Shep
9. Thanks bud. They are utterly stunning. One of best fretless basses I've played, with a very even tone. They are a little odd though and so many people would pass them up. maybe this should be in the bass rather than EUB section... After all it's a 34" scale fretless, but cam be played upright style...
10.
im trying to get a endorsement with lindo, theyre last shipment of budget plywood was great And the necks are now almost playable. Gratz on the endorsement
Cheers! I'd never heard of Lindo... But after a google search it seems I've really been missing out! New website is live and there I am - http://www.roscoeguitars.com/endorsers/endorsers.html
11. Cheers Tony, They are stunning. Great balance of valve & solid state. Still yet to find anything better than EBS tonally for me. Shep
12.
Buy it then - ha ha! If it doesn't go at this price there's no hope for the market right now! Actually, I'm toying with the idea of putting an ACG EQ02 in it if it doesn't find a suitable home soonish and postponing the ACG custom build for a while. I've been really impressed with the same preamp in my Zoot. Pip pip!
I have number of items up or sale and depending on what/if they sell I will very well co sided buying it. I'd consider the ACG Pre a downgrade though as personally I love the Roscoe Bart sound and am not a fan of the ACG tone (having tried 3 or 4 basses - they have a lovely feel though).
13. How is this still here... Want this beauty so much! Stunning!!!
14. Agreed. Stunning. It was a hard choice between the 350 and 650 as to which I'd keep, but needs must, so the 650 goes for a bargain price. Had a few PM's (which I think I've replied to them all) but this is still available. Shep
15. Hmmmm... There was a chap in Nottingham called Geoff Putnar I believe that had one very similar. I bought my old EBS Fafner off him when he was clearing loads of gear a couple of years back... I wonder if he was the previous owner. Lovely basses that sound Stunning! Welcome to Basschat by the way. Drop a post in the introductions forum if you get chance Shep
16.
yes,it's remind to me the Scott Surine's J-Bass model!
I have to confess, I've never heard of Scott Surine! Lol... A quick google search shows I've been missing out! Bump.
17.
i've never seen a such beautifull 6 strings!!! big bump!
Thanks! That's quite a compliment given your collection of 6 stringers...
18. HotRox mate. They are online as well... http://www.hotroxuk.com/ Or just pop over to Notts and nip in.
19.
George L's are a god send.
Agreed!!
20. For me it would be the last one - In a line with the volume up level with the bridge pickup location… I find it much easier to locate quickly if it's based there. LED and Active/Passive switch should be tucked away as changing quick is prob not needed, maybe down next to the bridge. Depends what capacity you plan on using the kill switch in to decide on location...
21. My five… No particular order (They have all been number 1 at different times ) Justin Chancellor - (Tool, Peach, Intronaught) John Davis - (Nerve/Jojo Mayer) Radek 'Bond' Bednarz - (Miloopa, Fat Burning Step) Les Claypool - (Primus… Duh!) Billy Gould - (Faith No More)
22. Some awesome boards on here recently… almost gutted that I'm happy with mine and have nothing new to show!
23. Si, How do you think I felt!! Took me 3 days to put mine together!
24. Thats pretty damn cool. Looks like a headless singlecut MusicMan Bongo. Cool stuff!
