When I got my Puma 1000 head (500 in 4 Ohm x 2 or 1000 in 8 Ohm bridged) I was thinking about getting a M212 and wasn't shure whether to get a 4 Ohm or an 8 Ohm version. i emailed the Tecamp support and received a reply the same day, from the top guy Thomas, he recommended getting the 8 Ohm version to use in bridged mode for the extra headroom. As it happened a 4 Ohm version came up for sale here from Alan (Whynot) and I bought that one. For one crazy moment last week I considered adding another 4 Ohm cab to the setup! Can't see any problems with the Shuttle 9 tbh
Any views with anyone on how the M212 will handle a Shuttle 9.0?! Im mainly going to use the LM3, but Im thinking the Shuttle 9.0 might be on the cards soon to use with my 8 ohm cabs. Im thinking that 900W into a 600W cab might be pushing it. I wont actually be turning it up full....but you know what Im getting at.
Now we need a new dealer so we can buy our covers.
Rosetti were the Tecamp importer/distributer for UK, getting supplies of things like covers may be tricky until the new distributer is up and running - anyone know who the new distribute is ? Some of the Euro dealers may be able to supply covers: Here's the product codes and eur list prices: http://www.musikundtechnik.de/download/A_T...809_english.pdf and heres someone that sells them this one is for the M212 (product code TECCM750) , phew, wore meself out researching that
[*]I am, however, slightly disconcerted about the amount of hiss that the amp emits. It's very noticeable with the master above ¼. Adding treble to the EQ really brings it out. I think I'm going to pop back to G.G. tomorrow and compare to the one that they had on demo. I certainly didn't notice a hiss on that one (and had it turned up quite loud), so I think I may have got a bit of a lemon.

I own the Puma 1000 and have also used various used various other Tecamp heads and combos in shops and all very quiet as a mouse. My Puma doesn't hiss with the gain up hight. I'd check out another unit as you suggested. BTW No fan noise either - it just does a test blast on start up and then it thermostatically controlled and has to be pushed really hard to cut in.

With the Mark Bass head, that should be a killer light weight rig, as mentioned above. I'm very impressed with my M212,
Update - gone with the one M212 that was left. Asked KJung (?) on Tbass about the 3 options I had, and he said the M212 all the way. Apparently the M212 wasnt properly put on the site...but they do have it...well not now £349...even If I dont use it much and sell it on...its SO cheap!
Funnily enough I stumbled across this ad yesterday and thought it must be a mistake! Already have a PUMA 1000 and an M212 and I can tell you guys you will not be disappointed the quality of this gear. The remaining combos are great value for anyone looking for superlight quality gear.

  17. I’ve always thought of Andertons as one of the good guys, based on my experiences there. Last time I was in, I was buying a relative cheap Washburn guitar for my 14 year old son. The sales guy was happy to let him play it through their very expensive Mesa Boogie stack and talked him through the different Mesa Lonestar heads and demo's the different chancels for my son to play through, then left us in the demo room undisturbed. On another occasion, again on a Saturday they were happy for him to try out several Gibsons both Les Pauls and SG's. They don't really stock the kind of basses I'd be interested in, though I have bought recording equipment and drum machines from them and would happily do so again. Sorry to hear about your experience there today. Oh and best of luck with the op
  18. Bought a Microkorg from Dave and called around to collect today. Nice easy transaction, great communication and would recommend Dave to anyone P

  21.
Italia straps are what i use for my Wals which are fairly weighty. Great product and good leather and they are doing a two for the price of one at the mo. I have not seen anything like them in this country especially the 4 inch width ones that i use. If they area bout, you will certainly pay for them!! Steve
I recently bought an Italia leather strap - or in fact bought 'two for the price of one'. Very good straps, a 4" piece of thick high quality leather, I will sell the 2nd one at cost, if anyone is interested, as I just need one. Its the ex long black with a cream underside...
  22. Very nice Alan, particularly like the 4 string (sonic blue?)
