Sunday12th of Feb. from 12.00 and up to 6.00, 1, Hot food to order 2, big room 3, stage 4 bar 5, seating area. 6, free parking right out side 7, small pa. 8, ( i can if needed provide a larger pa if needed) 9, easy to get too by cheshire oaks. post code = CH65 6QF. phone number, contact details and map.... http://www.whitbyclu...tact/4570950131 Costs per head will get sorted in due course, but to cover the room they will be minimal but we could possible negotiate flowing teas/ coffees and maybe a jam butty each for a few pennies extra , but that is a bonus one to look forward to Thread wise , I will start a list in a new post and if you would be so kind as to add your name to the list by copy/paste or if on a mobile just add your intention to come, then the next person, myself (or anyone who wants to) can tidy it up as we go along . I am really looking forward to it already
3. That sounds excellent, well played that man , I am out tonight but I will try and get a thread up tommorrow which we can use for the event, NW bass bash is go !
4. you are always welcome , I hope your mojo picks up really soon
5. its only a little Ibanez s421 , not even a bass , but after having a yammy pacifica for ages , the neck on the Ibby is a fair bit wider and is far easier to play!
6. I'm in , kept it simple this month , I got a new six string so I had to have a go on it . This month is a blast on the sequencer so Lurksalittle says I was cheating , so she doesn't appear on this one, still , vocally , nor do I https://soundcloud.com/lurksalot/hope
7. I have a similar thing with my Spectors I have a legend 4 that I bought ages ago and love it , I then ordered a Euro4LX , a beautiful guitar with a fantastic usable tone range ,but, the neck being through , is a tiny bit thicker , hard to measure and slightly fatter than the bolt on legend neck. To me the difference is chalk and cheese and the legend is my go to. I suppose I should have played a few Euros before I ordered a new one!!
8. That sounds Awesome, a great idea, superb
9. if the rooms a go , all we need do is add our names to the list and collect the money on the day , not a problem here If the date is a go-er I will set up a new thread and invite the masses , though I may take liberties and call it the NW bass bash as it does appear to have drifted a touch nearer Chester than Manchester !!
10. I make that the 15th , I can do that date no probs , but can the venue
11.
Dove? Pigeon? They were never the type of birds i was interested in!
I'm not much of an ornithologist myself , but I can spot a great tit from a good distance
12. Well , the joy of the pigeon at least ;-)
13.
Ok, I have been down there for a chat, we can have if wanted a sunday afternoon in say feb. ( or any time) food wise they can do a set price buffet or better still you can just order food from a menu and just pay for what you order, Now i dont know how this works so please bear with me... 1) is it just for bass chatters ? ( in which case there may be a fee for the room if not many in.) or 2) can this be open to public ticket sales, ? in which case they will let us have the room free if its akined to a charity. now i have used the room a few times free raising cash for Backford hospital which is a hospital for the terminally ill, hospice of the good shepherd, so very worthwhile, http://www.hospiceof...hester-hospice/ so if it is "2" then there are some local bass luthers, and also the ones you all know could get involved setting up stalls maybe, and i know one or two "very well known" bass players that might be willing to give us a chat, As said i dont know how these things work, and i know its not Manchester, but anyway its an option for a start.
I would have thought it just for Basschatters to be honest , If people in the next room are intrigued to see whats going on , well fair enough , but to charge a ticket you might get some random peeps demanding access to all the private kit. If we are all BC'ers , then at least there is some sort of hope that we know what we are doing if someone is trying out your precious rig
14. I turned a bit Merkin there , but Dad has it
15. I know that it is a poignant picture what with 11/11 , but I am getting Dastardly and Muttley flapping around trying to catch the pigeon
16. Well done Indy , it is s lovely piece. if you'ld like to choose a picture for the November challenge and send the link to myself or Skol we will get it up and running this evening.
17. I still end up referring to that place as the Shell Club ! Are Sundays a good time for the room there ? if so, then I guess we just need an idea of costs and hang a date out to see who can make it . I am not sure a full PA is needed , but its a great offer, I suppose it depends on what the objectives of the attendees is , if it is just a touchy feely mess around on as much kit as you can , then just a bit of space and a few hours is probably all thats required .
18. Its last orders at the vote bar , With a tie for the leaders at the moment , it is crying out for another vote or two , please feel free to join in and cast a vote or three
19. Oh Man , that was a difficult choice , after scoring them initially out of 10 , the lowest was 8.5 , and that was mine It has again been a pleasure to listen to the offerings , thanks to all. Indys track is lovely and it reminds me that its about time The Boy pulled his finger out ,
20. I got past my Reaper recognition by just ignoring it ! The first time reaper ran with the waves plug ins , it threw up a non recognition of an application file , I clicked past it but it threw it up again After a while I realised it was doing it for each part of the plug in ie Gtr3 has about 12 vst parts so it kept bouncing me out , but by just closing each warning and ignoring the problem , it just went away

24. many thanks , she can sing really nicely when she tries , she wants to keep the notes from getting too high though as she gets her choir voice , and she only likes that in choir
