Spare a Copper for an Old Steam Tramp..? ... Hope you like it.
Great fun Douglas, the moaning and groaning put me off a bit though , I made those sort of noises once , it was a long time ago and dark , and the thought of anyone else making them, doesn't seem quite right to me
 2. Is it that dark ,
If you look up the active indicative conjugation for the verb ducere you'll see why I remembered it, and why I'm not going to finish it in a post! Alternatively, ask your brother - I'll bet he remembers it to... However, I might add that mentally I never got past 15.
and I spent ages the other night looking for something like that , and missed , I knew it wasn't cos of your love of the classics

 9.
I wouldn't dream of slipping in any innuendo. Being brought up as a Catholic meant that large parts of my youth were spent at Catechismm under a priest. We were taught to be upstanding and not smutty!
Didn't sister Paul work her magic on you

 12. I thought I would be cheeky and turn up for an hour and pick some brains , however I was absolutely delighted to have stayed all day , it was fantastic to meet you all, the advice was superb and to get to have a quick noodle on all your kit was incredible , it has given me so much more confidence to have a proper play with my own stuff now !! Thanks again, a great day . photos to folllow
 13. I am really hoping to come along to this , I am specifically looking to get a feel of a few of them , I recently traded a fretless for one and being a total noob to the beast , I am looking for some pointers to get started properly . so if there are a few kind soles willing to talk to me that would be great. I just have to sort a vehicle to get there now !!
 14.
Yes, strange isn't it - perhap Yamaha doesn't sell the speaker cabs separately? I've measured the DC resistance as 5.4 ohms so I'm thinking it's an 8 ohm impedance?
The stagepas comes complete I thought doesnt the amp/mixer fold into the cab box or something like ? The spec you quoted was 150W into 6ohms , could that be relevant with regard the speaker resistance?
 15. Cheers Nige ............... I think
 16.
Wodja mean 'I quite like it'..? ..........
Cheers Doug, you are too kind , as we have a bit if time left ,I may have to do the bagpipe version
 17. Great image , there has to be sometrhing in that one , I have to get stuck in for this , Dads is probably already done
 18. Congratulations to Mr Bilbo of this parish on a wonderful composition that scoops both the prize and adulation that follows from winning this months challenge , well I say prize , it is in fact the honour of setting the image for next months event .
 19.
Early start tomorrow so I won't be up at midnight to wave the chequered flag. Can whoever scoops the most votes - and it's currently looking like Bilbo! - please message me with their choice of image for the next one. Ta. As always, well done everyone. A very fine selection this month!
I will stand up to the plate and wave the flag , is that metaphore-mixing , ah well , congratulations to Bilbo winning with 27.27% of the total vote well done , great piece , oh, and get it played with your trio
 20. OK then for my sins I have had a bash at this , https://soundcloud.com/lurksalot/london-zulu-lurks-remix I quite like it , but then I have had it running through my head burning its signature on my brain superb track, thanks to Nige and the rest if the guys and gals for letting us play with it , I hope you enjoy my ideas
 21. Having put what I thought were some final touches to mine , I thought I would pop over for a listen ,WOW , it makes me realise how far off the pace I am , superb work Paul , brilliant .
 22.
That was me :-) I thought Dad was going to get my vote as he won me over quite quickly with a great tune with lovely deep bass, but then I heard yours: I love the mood of the jazz tune, and adore the morse code beeps. A really great contrast which is both quirky and effective. Well done the rest of you too :-)
Many thanks , that is awesome
I think it would be fun to use a video clip as the inspiration one month - and much better to use a 'real' video with links to the BC family, than some stock footage. The only consideration is that we tried this about a year ago and it tanked... I think we had three entries and a lot of folks struggled with the technical aspects of syncing their music to the film. Bear in mind that it was more of a 'slideshow' than an actual 'movie' (it was a compilation of still images from that year's Composition Challenge), so some actual footage may be more inspiring - and we could perhaps avoid worrying about the music and film being synced together, for those that don't have the software to do this. Anyway... certainly an idea to keep hold of
I recall that quite well and was kind of why I didn't bite the lads hands off with the idea , but never say never I reckon
 23. May I offer a quick bump for this , the top of the field is currently tied with a close call for those just behind and in need of some extra votes to seperate them , they might not actually seperate them , but it would be great to find out .............
 24.
You lot should get a little collective together and start trying to score some independent films . Seriously, I know it's almost a cliché now to state that the quality of the compositions gets better every month, but it really does.
Quite bizarrely , I had a discussion about the film idea the other day with my lad , I played the entries through to him and he actually mentioned a competition to score his next short film . I intend to keep the idea in loose discussion with him to see if it will gain any legs , but he can make a film , and the BC composers can certainly do a tune or two . Dont hold your collective breath , but if it shows promise I will liase with Skol to asses the feasibility of the idea.
 25. I was most pleased to get a vote so early in the proceedings, many thanks , I normally seem to land one right at the death , I think there is a vote fairy that soothes my ego for my really dodgy entries
