    I used to have a Stagg and it had problem with the one of the strings from new. When I contacted the shop I got it from there was a misunderstanding and they actually sent me a replacement machine head by mistake. I subsequently gave it to someone on here who had a similar problem to you, but as far as I recall the shop got it from the importer. You could also contact Stagg direct at Staggmusic.com - they do spare parts.

    +1 for PocketGK. Liked the free version and have now bought the paid version. Much prefer this to Amplitube, though haven't tried Ampkit.

    Received an Ashbory from Steve today. Was in great condition and very well packed. Delivery was quick and plenty of communication. Great to deal with

    Looks just like the one I had back in the 80s. It was a lined fretless as well (not defretted). Lovely bass, wish I still had it .

    I think everything should drop by 10% each time it is sold - I'll wait until it comes around for about the 10th time and get it for about a third of the original price

    I had one of these and had similar problems with the A string when I first had it. It was the string that was the problem - it wasn't wound evenly. A new set of strings sorted it out for me. Yours may be different but worth checking the string - the standard strings do not have the best quality control.

    Hi Brummie - unfortunately due to problems with my left hand (arthritis) I am having to give up playing after 40 years, so it is sale only. Also, within a couple of hours (don't these people sleep? ) I had received two offers so it is now sold pending the usual.

    Thanks for looking - now sold. Due to a sale falling through I am putting this up here. A Stagg electric upright bass in black, very little use so in as new condition. Comes with all the bits, case and a bow (not photographed yet but could be if required) As I had agreed a price on this I will put it up for the same - £250 including postage (what Interparcel considers standard delivery area).     Another forum I'm on (and which Ped is also on ) has a limit of 30 days *and* 100 posts before any for sale threads can be posted (not just ebay links). And posts in the off topic section do not count towards your total number of posts. And all dealing has to be done on thread rather than by PM So I don't see this suggestion as an issue particularly.

    Sold a Line6 floor pod to Chay. Great guy to deal with, good communications and very understanding when UPS managed to hold up delivery

    Just sold an Overwater Perception to Ben. Was a pleasure dealing with him as the deal took a while for various reasons but he kept me informed all the way through. Would be happy to deal with him again
