1. Don't know why you are even discussing it. Just check Wikipedia: "The standard design for the electric bass guitar has four strings, tuned E, A, D and G" So there it is, case closed.
Might have to call you myself regarding my Perception, as although I don't a key at them moment bet will at some point!
+1 though I will be getting in touch very soon as I would like some other work done on it which is a bit beyond me
6. Don't know the answer but it might be worth posting this in the Overwater sub-forum as well
7. Into the line in on the amp usually. If I need to be quiet then it's headphones.
8. Very unlikely that I will be able to be there so probably best to remove me from the list.
9.
Yeah, is that the lovely blue one now on ebay - if so, way nicer than this pimped up monstrosity, in my opinion
That's the one
10.
What a shame somebody decided to ruin a perfectly good instrument
+1 The Ritter that Owen is selling on BC looks so much better than that IMO.

12. Now if you had searched you would have found this http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=59228 Oh - you can't can you...
13. Can't believe this has come up now! Just when I had finally got rid of any short term GAS!!!
14. Someones selling a fretless jazz that doesn't know anything about it - "I have no idea of the spec as im not a musician. It comes with a hard case and some spare strings. It is black." He's also selling a white fretted Jazz which is a MIM.
15. There's also this but it's audio only - http://www.casttv.com/video/1iu34e/thin-li...live-1980-video and supposedly this - http://sagool.tv/detail/4488792228109382143/ - but it wouldn't run for me.
16. +1 on the previous comments. From looking at acoustic basses they all seem to need a relatively high action to get any sort of decent sound. A solid body with a natural wood finish might still be in keeping with the overall look for the band - something to consider, especially if you were thinking of having an amp anyway.

18. Damn! Why did you do that?! I saw that pic in another thread and have been tryimg to stay away from it ever since. Saw your thread title and thought that this would take my mind off it!!!
19. Glad you finally sold it Though you just know that in the next week someone will join BC and ask if anyone knows where they can get hold of a Kopo...
20. Looks remarkably like this one to me - and I don't think it's rubbish.
21.
No, though I think the sea would have been softer! Was enjoying my new bike's jumping skill (which far exceeds my own, apparently). Alex
Ouch! - Just had visions of you in a Barefaced cab with wings jumping off the pier!
22.
Tonight I am digging out the fuzz and stepping away from the mic (not that I could sing right now after a failed attempt at flight on Sunday ended on my face...) Anyone know any singists that they'd like us to take off their hands?
at Worthing?
23. Just bought a Fender CIJ fretless Jazz from Jay - amazing bass (can't believe it is as old as it is!) and he was a pleasure to deal with. Great communications. quick delivery and excellent packaging. Thoroughly recommended
24. I'd be interested in learning setups. Also, will be bringing my just received Fender CIJ fretless Jazz as well as the OW. Oh, and if there is anyone who can do setups on an EUB I could bring that as well...
