Flame maple / three piece maple neck / unlined ebony board / Delano pickups

I have no need for the subtlties of this instrument, she has a beautiful range of classic fretless sounds, plays beautifully and she's a real looker. Great build quality too. 'Fraid I need an active Warwick with not much mwahhhhh.

She's in beautiful condition, a couple of very small dings and some minor worming on part of the neck heel.

I'm looking for £725 inc. UK delivery. I just put a £45 set of La Bella black nylon tapewounds on too, which sound and feel amazing. Offers are welcome.

Best wishes,
Nigel

Thought you'd fallen back in love?
Yeah I know :)

The thing is, I'm going fully fretless in one of my bands and I've been rehearsing and practising with this bass a LOT. If it was just a couple of numbers, I think I'd be ok with the Kopo. But I think I need to be sensible and go for a Warwick. I know I will be 100% comfortable with the feel, sound, balance, everything. The Kopo is about 80% for me. I find the nut width a little too wide, the neck too shallow (it's like an Ibanez or a Sei).

I can't really explain it easily, it's a fantastic bass and I can easily live with it. I just know what I need is a great workhorse bass, a Warwick is just that for me. I think I've had a change from being rather flamboyant and gone a bit sensible for the sake of staying in my comfort zone. Some of the songs I'm playing in this band are a challenge on fretless, so I need a old friend bass. Hope that makes sense!
Yeah, so do I. I'm buying my double bass in a couple of weeks (I've been saving long enough ). Then the serious saving starts for this. Good luck with the sale man...
Wecked!! I so nearly got an EUB before buying the KOPO. I bottled it :)

Thanks again, Gnash.

5 String Upright Bass, it's going to be awesome I really can't wait. It's coming from a great guy as well, he waited 3 months for me to get the money together even though he'd had other offers. Aren't bass players just the most awesome folks. I hope that whoever grabs your bass looks after it and plays it every day. I'll send you a pic of my new bass once I've picked her up :).

Thanks Nick :)

I have just ordered a nice Warwick Corvette Standard Ash active in Honey Violin. My very lovely partner has lent me the cash until I sell my Kopo
