12.
I have a personal attachment to my basses, most are basses I could only dream of owning as a teen. They're also tools of my trade. For me my basses are a little more than merely wood and wire. Blue
Blue, you remind me of me 5 years ago after 20 bottles of cider. You talk sh*t. Tell you what, pack one up, ship it off. ill get it by monday Bub
 13. Sublime soul from the masters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcflT1yb1To&index=58&list=FLzVUqeF1SLjxa78y2gd03dQ
 14.
Yes, I let my only bass go, and my only amp. Then I bought another bass. Then I sold that. At the end of the day it's just a bit of wood.
Thats what my wife said.
 15. I'm sure the mod's will pull me up [Edit by Wateroftyne - You're not wrong :-)]
 16.
I've had to sell amps and cabs before now, but fortunately I never needed to sell a bass. Have you thought about maybe getting a Harley Benton, or something budget, and a zoom b1on and headphones ?
Yes i have, i really don't like the sound of those instruments, and i love cheap. I play through a Mac Pro etc.. But thank you for the suggestion buddy.
 17. Financially I'm in a bit of a pickle. Nothing serious but i need the money, so the Marcus Miller is going back. To say I'm gutted is an understatement. My musical expression is my bass. ( that and listening).. Ive really gelled with it. But yes, Its only a material item. And it will only be a while until i can play bass again. Has anyone let there only bass go.?
 18. Im not usually a Fender guy, especially 5ver's but these of this year about are great. Real jazz bass growl.
 19.
Whitney Houston is way too shouty for me. Just belting it out and no subtlety at all. And why is Chaka Khan always screaming? The best voice IMO belongs to Aaron Neville.
I like his music Chris, but i find his voice is as exciting as a wet bag of chips. There is no definition to what he's singing. all our ears are different.
 20.
Mike Patton for me. The one trick ponies might be effective but don't score high on my list (from the guy that loves death and thrash metal, hah)
Mike Patton is awesome. No doubt. i love Mr Bungle
 21.
Whitney Houston is way too shouty for me. Just belting it out and no subtlety at all. And why is Chaka Khan always screaming? The best voice IMO belongs to Aaron Neville.
Thats the first time I've heard someone say Whitney Houston"s voice is shouty. Chaka Khan screaming. ? Well different horses for the courses and all that babber.
 22. This guy is a monster musician. Look him up he plays so many instruments. I don't really care for the slap playing. Why guys don't make it more musical is beyond me…
 23. i agree some the warbling can get a bit too much, i want music to have purpose, we all look at that aspect of music in different ways. . Ok these woman's voices do it in a more roundabout fashion than others. he he. Lalla Hathaway at her best.
 24.
A lot of it comes down to age. I loved both of them when I was about 10-12 and they were at their height, then I found metal and alternative stuff and never looked at anything with a synth again. I still like it though, nostalgia I guess. If you look through the years there are always a few acts that are 'big', some stand the test of time better than others and even the most popular will split opinion, I still can't see the Beatles as anything better than a pop act with a couple of ok songs, some people would have me hanged for that sentiment.
it comes down to the word subjective. i don't want to sound arty farty, but the word always has resonance in music and the arts.
