  1. Do you mean carbon reinforced necks, or carbon neck's?
  2. It' also quilted maple not flame. BC Police over and out.
  3. Ok cheers. I would have the top would snap. Obviously not. Thanks for the info.
  4. It just occurred to me the top on my Jazz on the arm rest part is still the top wood. Looking at it from the side most of the top wood is only fairly thin, but get to the arm rest part of the body, and its still the same. Usually builders will just sand that part, exposing the main body wood. Just wondering how he did this.? . I presume he's cut the top wood deeper on the arm rest, so as not to loose it when sanded down. ?? I hope this makes sense.
  5. Don't know about the bass but those Ultrabass combos sound great.
  6. That's lovely.
  7. Ive got to learn this. I used to sit there for days on end, learning Incognito bass lines, so no problem (me thinks?). I've not played properly for a while, so it is a hand/mind task. I didn't realise how complex the whole version is. The changes after 7.00 are just superb. Put the East on P Bass mode ( I don't have an envelope filter).. Give me a day and this groove is on lock down.
  8. In line with Lakland Skylines, Less coin than Fender standard's. or what they now call American Pro's I think. ? who really cares anymore. only my opinion. Same preamp and pickups as the USA series. they look great.. 5 different colours, wood pickup covers..Plek'd . Anyone played one.? Lake Placid Blue is lovely... https://bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/XJPRO-1_LPB.html
  9. The only thing in your line up, that is different, is different country, and different company overheads. Same product, (high end jazz bass) same market world wide. I guess Demand makes the name, Sadowsky double the price. Marketing and famous players spring to mind.
  10. Maybe there incomparable. I hadn't heard of the NYC Satin.?
  11. The bought new price difference is huge. I asked Martin what it would cost to spec my Sei Jazz now. He said in the region of £3000 +. A Sadowsky NYC is in the region of £6000 +.. Martin makes basses as good a bass as Roger imo, if not better being hand made by himself . So what gives. What is the difference. ? Is it the name Sadowsky.? Just interested in thoughts.
  12. There was a guy on BC years ago, that had Julian Crampton's old F Bass, and as I recall, he said it fell out of his boot on the motorway (in a hardcase), got run over, snapped the neck.
  13. Once (years ago) I went to a rehearsal with a brand new Fender US 75 RI Jazz that I just bought. I dropped it, and left a crack in the huge amount of lacquer that Fender put on there basses..
  14. sorry to hijack your sale AnologBomb. but they look killer Andrew.!!!!!!!!!!. The OP's bass is the one I picked out, over a USA Jazz in Dawsons, it just sounded better to me. Super hot aggressive pickups.
  15. good lord, where did you get those from.?
  16. I owned an Elwood exactly the same, but with a maple fretboard.(Wilco, i shouldn't have let it go now I think). These instruments are the real deal.
  17. I think these jazz basses are superb. and the pickups are hot.
  18. Where did it snap.? Im guessing at the break angles of the string.?
  19. Great interface. Just not using it. Box Is a little tattered by two Dachshunds. Ive only used it twice so is in brand new condition. Comes with FireWire Cable. power cable etc. Could swap for an MXR Octave pedal. Price is negotiable.
  20. Erm.. One of the knobs is missing.?
  21. Great monitors.Take them away. One has blown the preamp, I think as someone plugged a bass directly into the monitor. Shouldn't cost a lot to fix. The other is good. A few small scratches. If known wants them I'm gonna throw them away.
  22. So you don't like Twiddly Diddly nonsense then. Lets move on.
