Ive played a Precision once. It was a JV Squire. Sounded fantastic with a drummer. But like an SR5, which I adore. it isn't very versatile. Maybe I don't need versatile.

I usually buy the 5 string (was) Marcus Miller DR Fat Beams , and they have enough wind to go through the body on a 35" scale.. Best round wound strings on the market Imo..And they last for a long long time. But your string of choice may differ. Amazon are selling these for £25 atm. Ive bought these for £45 in the past. Im a believer in the tone qualities/differences of both body woods. but different pickup winds, strings, neck woods etc, override any differences you might be able to hear in ash over alder Imo. I would go with Alder with a flame maple top. You get the lighter body with a sexy top.Who is the builder.?

I didn't really like the original record too be honest. I think its a funky take on it.. Each there own. Elevator music is not a term I've heard before.

Its' amazing how good a rig you can get for so little money. And importantly how great it sounds. Most know about the Sire V7. This one weighs 9.4 pounds. The Genz I could have got cheaper, but this one is literally brand new with a Genz bag. I prefer this little monster to my old Aguilar. cab is incoming.
