3. bump for a great instrument.. these really are monster basses....
 4. IMHO, there are too many variables to ascertain wether it was the MB gear..could have been the bass, the room, the EQ.. i played through a trace elliot in a fairly big pub space once and it seriously sounded good..played a Peavy 115 in the same space and it sounded great also..i was playing a Sei.. played my Aguilar 212 with the AG 500 in a smaller space and it sounded awful... until i took away the bass eq and cleaned it up to suit the room.. i really think the shape, absortion of sound from the material, and size of a room can destroy a good amps natural tone.. the walls are too close and suffocate the cab in a small room until eq'd accordingly..... you gotta either let a cab breath of adjust its breathing.. in my humble limited opinion..
 5.
far from jazzes anyway also depending on cash adjustment warwick $$ and a schecter hellraiser, both 5 strings long shot but worth offering
not my bag at the mo mate..those $$'s are killer mind..thankyou for the offer..

 9.
Excuse me. Is my bad English. I mean how to arrange the different knobs (bass, treble mediums), to get a good sound from it? For example for rock, for funk, etc..
no your english is fine..just my stupid brain.. i play jazz funk, soul and i have back pup full, front pup backed off a smidge, and the tone control on half way..

 12.
dont really agree mate. Let's be clear if this isn't resolved and even more so, a pattern emerges then I will be first in line looking to name and shame BUT this has not concluded, it is only one sale and whatever you say I am afraid we have 4 pages of comment that may well have suggested to some that Bass Direct are not always a reliable vendor. However, if people are getting something from this I'll leave people to it.
yeah but its comments about one sale..i havent read anything about any other sale..? im sure we all realise that this is isolated incident.
 13.
No one is bashing Mark nor suggesting he is a fraudulent seller the comments are no different to commenting on customer service by other shops or manufacturers (see the Ampeg oh dear thread).
+1 it seems all the facts have been settled by both sides.. as customers we are entitled to talk openly about the situation...a private sale may be different..
 14.
Because he does not have to legally if " to much" time has passed. Though he should for good customer service.
yeah but not that much time has passed so...?? Maybe Mark is sorting this as we speak.... its a no brainer...not as advertised.. ive never heard any other probs with Marks service, but surely (especially with vintage instruments) its the shops responsibility to check authenticity..not thoroughly is just asking for trouble.. on damaging his rep, apart from his erm..post... i feel this is down to how he responds to this situation....maybe damage limitation.. i gotta say i would still buy from him...
 15.
Or the sound just wasn't to his taste.
or that.. i just got from the words boomy that it may have been the room...My aguilar can get very boomy in a small room..but any other time its very detailed and articulate...
 16. yes for the right bass.. are you asking me?
 17. i can bet it was the room and maybe the way you were eq ing the rig for that room..
 18. ha ha..how strange...Andy Taylor was the drummer and his real first name is Roger..Johns first name is Nigel..Very confusing.. a silly misprint..
 19. when you say easily...i take it your playing very hard...or is the string very worn?? dont think ive ever even come close breaking a string..in fact even if i pulled really hard on a string it wouldnt break?
 20.
Unless you like them?
ok.....im bitter from lack of funds and have GAS!!
 21. quote.... Will having a newer string sound odd? there is lots of more important things in this world..
 22. what do you mean by equalize..? do you mean the same volume on both pickups.
 23. the funk is in your fingers..not the bass.. those BB's are great though
