1. i wish i could get this in higher quality.. his solo to the start of this classic is so good.. you have to turn this up to really hear him soloing.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKNjKBszLA8
 2. marcus Miller holding it down with some blokes... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMb8BhCXNs4
 3.
Always a sign of a good tune. Some early Fretless from his younger years - The solo in the middle is a nice easy laid back affair [02.50] Garry
see.. now this is why i post.. to milk this kind of stuff out of you guys.. wonderful bass playing
 4.
What I love about his playing/soloing is that he can just 'groove'. I prefer Marcus to Victor because his grooves as a sideman as well as soloist are amazing. What I LOVE are the rhythmic elements that he uses whilst slapping, all out percussive. I don't know if anyone can help me but I'm looking for his bass line to one of his solo works. It is a very melodic 'head' but I can not remmeber the name , only can hum it !
i much prefer listening to Marcus Miller to anything Victor can put out.. dont get me wrong Victor's playing is fantastic but MM has that thing... im sure with a little googling you could find it...
 5. hes a master at both slap and fingerstyle on this classic... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df62kFvoByQ

 18. really like this guys playing.. whether you like the genre or not is another matter... very tasteful playing.. imo lovely tone from that VB also... imo a little cluttered later in the vid by the under pinning bass line, but great none the less....
 19.
You say "this guy" like it's the first time you've heard of Stevie Wonder.
maybe its because i wrote it twice..
 20. been watching this fascinating doc on this this guy and this album... notice dean parks that played with Steely Dan.... further parts are available as you prob noticed... imo, his most easily digestable album is Innervisions, in a popular sense, but this album is his most important album..., http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLvck_izETE
