1. THE long awaited Rebirth release for 2014. from one of the finest soul/jazz /funk bands I've ever listened to.. album out soon .
2.
Seems it may not be compatible - http://www.sweetwate...nd-macbook-air/ I found a few other things on google too.
thanks for the info Ambient, but my Interface is not a newer VSL unit. its the older AudioBox USB. i did not have the DAW for this interface. I'm running it through Garage Band. Thanks Beedster for the info.. could it be that i don't have the disc for this Interface.?
3. I have a MacBook Pro plugged into an Audio Box USB by Presonus. The problem is it just doesn't work all the time.. As in the Mac will recognise it now and again straight away, any other time i have to sit plugging it in, then unplugging it, then plugging it in again, the around around i go.. then out of the blue it will recognise it.. I'm trying to learn songs for a band at the moment and this is driving me f***ing insane.!! does anyone have this combo of Mac and Interface.? thing is I've got no idea where the problem is coming from..??? most likely the interface but why would it work at all if it was faulty.. i was thinking maybe a bad usb connection, but without buying a new Interface how the hell do i know.? please any help is appreciated.. the thing is its not like i can take it to Apple, or take it to a specialist shop of any kind..
4. if you have a full time job, and can pay the bills, why not do it for the love of music and playing. ? depending on your circumstances of course. sounds very frustrating for you though Damon.. Keep your chin up dude..
5.
Precisions sit in the mix and Jazzes sit on the mix. Truckstop
you know i questioned that for a while. then it made sense.!
6. Such a great record, what a drummer, fantastic use of a 5 string bass. his playing is just…. WOW.
7.
Hi guys, I guess this has been asked numerous times. What is the difference between these two bases. I don't just mean pickups etc.. I want to know all views before I start looking. Thanks in advance.
it has been asked many times, but your lucky your not on Talk Bass.your in god hands. sorry i meant good's hands.

11. Why not buy an electric piano. I have a Yamaha p35 and the piano voices are way better than any upright for the same money. Never needs maintaining . You could pick one up for that sort of money
12. i will write a review of this bass shortly.. is there any 5 string that can touch it for the price.? its easily as good if not better(because of its thunderous/focussed low B string than a Sadowsky Metro and about £700 cheaper. i had a Sadowsky RV5 and the B string was flabby compared to this bass. Its one of the later Indonesian made basses with theLH3 and Lakland pickups. I've only ever played 34" scale basses.. never even noticed the 35" scale.
13. never liked the look of them, and i really think they add nothing tonally. maybe structurally they add a feel to the neck you can't get with a DC.. i just think its bass construction over design.. i think the design of a bass is coming its limits, and has been for a while. i think the builders only have so much to go on to improve. i think perfection comes from construction, not new ideas. the music has the new ideas, not the instrument.
14. Jose is THE best person I've ever dealt with on BassChat. great correspondence, very laid back, one of those guys that give BassChat a good name.. deal with this guy in total confidence.. thanks Jose.

17.
Hi there , can I be bold and put my self forward to sunburst your bass , if it's clear / natural I could use your existing finish as a sealer and sand half off then burst over it to keep the cost down , checkout my face book page DWilson Guitars or my web dwilsonguitars , Best regards David
you can be so bold David, and expect a PM.
18. love this guys timing, and feel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ptp9W36xM-w

20. as soon as i hear the word groove i think of this.! its just superb ....
21. yeah i reckon its worth it... i can strip everything from the body, but i don't really want to start stripping the original finish..
22. WOW that is stunning. have a bump.
23.
I think you could save yourself a lot of trouble by purchasing a bass with a high gloss burst finish. There are a lot out there. Blue
erm.. thanks, I'm aware of all the sunburst basses out there. and i don't mind the trouble, thats why I'm asking.
24. Maybe looking to get a natural bass refinished in a burst.. Ive looked around and it seems it around the the £250 mark.. Has anyone had this done to a bass body.. Im aware of Sims, but they are expensive.. just trying to get and idea of whats involved.. i can probably strip the bass of electronics etc.. is this necessary to have the body just bare wood.? i want a burst with a high gloss finish. any ideas.
