1.
Drummer kills it, proper dance musician.
He uses space very well. Space for me, as well as others I'm sure, is just as important as the music played. His band the PB Underground is fantastic.
2. Its a crime not to post these guys. That Warwick 6 string sounds amazing . they work together so so well. sh*te me that guy is an awesome drummer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_D_smzbSV6I

6. Its just such a fantastic synth/keys bass line he plays on this record. When you listen to his bass lines you realise just how good he is. its just fabulous stuff. especially his playing over the changes on this record.
7. https://www.amazon.c..._gno_yam_yrdrs this is my Amazon order this evening.
8. yeah I'm confused now. well i bought them for £21 with £1.95 postage.
9. Im more confused at to wether they are the old Marcus Miller strings. why so cheap a price. I'm aware there are a lot of fakes out there. I can't return them if i have strung them on to a bass surely.?
10. I was given a £30 amazon voucher and want to buy my favourite string. Does Marcus Miller still have his name to these.? this seems very cheap for a 5 string set of DR's. The reviews are going on about Nickel strings.? Fat Beams are steel with a round core. Can anyone point me in the right direction with Amazon. Ive always used DR Marcus Miller fats, but I'm confused by amazon. http://www.amazon.co...t+beam+5+string others want £40+ with £8 + postage which is in the realm of what i expect to pay. Does anyone buy strings from amazon.? Ive looked on DR's website and it seems MM is no longer endorsing these.?
11. WOW and WOW again.
12. Good to see Pete back again also.
13. Guys on upright were using the technique to a lesser extent, for a percussive feel way before Louis J or Larry.
14.
I'd rather watch Nick watching Bubinga's cat having a 5hit.
id rather watch Rich watching Nick watching my cat have a sh*t. That would take time to organise. take from that my dislike.
15. i would rather watch my cat have a sh*t.

17.
Eric cancelled his Milwaukee Show at Shank Hall last year. I was pissed off. Blue
Love his playing Blue. He's no Norman Brown though.
18. What a fantastic bass player and what a great guitar player. What a groove. Both upside-down players. They work together amazingly well. Dwayne's bass playing is just off the wall.
19. Erm…. you played for Omar.? Wow my soul hero. sorry to derail.
20. That flame maple neck is quite something.!!!
21.
Define 'jazz'.
Would love to see anyone answer that one.
22. Ok you deserve everything you get, if you ever do this nonsense on stage. but use strap locks. Don't let this happen to you.!!
23.
Try recording yourself playing to a drum track or metronome, even if its using something basic like a phone voice recording app, that will show up errors that you might not be concious of while actually playing. To some extent though consistent timing requires a certain amount of raw hours on fingerboard so be patient.
This. Its easy to get complacent and not hear where your timing might be off. its easy to do when your concentrating on the physical aspects of playing. I went to art school for 4 years, used to draw paint etc, and technically, the best lesson i learned was to look at what you have drawn/painted in a mirror. Its a great way to refresh what you have been looking at for so long. Ok its not the best example/explanation, but i think its similar to listening to yourself recorded. You see/hear where you might be going wrong. A fresh perspective is what I'm getting at. it really does work. Well thats my experience.
24. This is a floor filler i used to play with an old band. Its the long intro that teases them. Fabulous record.! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuavOt7RwCA
