Gone.

More pix added.
2. Brief Google finds nowt. Any info?
3. you need this guy's stuff: http://www.manchesterguitartech.co.uk/ Steve's a good guy. I used some of his Amber gloss rattle cans and they worked a treat!
4. Utter w***! Mark King - as much as I admired him at the time - has a lot to answer for.
5.
Mate, let's not derail the guy's sale. But just to say, you are not the intended market, it was never meant to leave Japan. Who cares about period correct? The looks of a BadAss are subjective. FJ issues many other basses which are 'period correct', this is a limited run, a special. FJ actually have the most interesting instruments of any of the Fender companies IMO, and I think the new Fender Pawnshop and BlackFace or whatever they're called is a realisation that not all Fenders need to follow established patterns for the dull and boring westerners who like their Fenders to look the same as 60 years ago. Anyway, let's start a new thread if this is to carry on. Our friend has a cracking Japan Fender Jazz with a matched headstock and a BadAss II. If it's anything like mine was, it will be one of the best playing Jazzes around. Stick a John East J-Retro in and you will be able to kill wild boar with it. Best wishes for the sale, Cayston!
I'm not de-railing Caystons sale; it is you who has seen fit to say so. Now let's move on.
6. I just dont understand why FJ issue Jazzes with these bridges: they are not period correct and, extra sustain or not, they look bloody awful. Not saying your bass is, Cayston, but I'll pass on this. Good luck with the sale.
7. I've had two non-export Jazzes with matching headstocks (still have one) and neither came with a Badass. They were 2nd hand, though.
8. Do you know if that Badass has left a 'footprint' on the finish of the body?
9. Have you got the vintage bridge?
10. on the moby right now so I've just gone to ghe end of tjis thread but I guess a few fellas have offered this opinion, too: sack him, get a a beat-box and start up a new website. Sorted!
11. That block of rosewood and the binding are pretty deep. Can you provide full depth of the neck at the apex of the 'board to the bottom of the heel, please?
12.
My brother had a twelve string Kimbara that was a very good instrument.
So did the guy in my first band. A lovely instrument with a nice action.
13. I hate Music Ground. There, I feel so much better for saying that!
14.
Bridge design looks better than the original............ G.
Yup!
15. This has been gnawing at me, this one. Dead keen on it but still waiting on my Nash JB63 selling. Lovely bass!
16. Hhmmmm... just did a bit of snooping on the old Brasssmaster and it seems they're still popular. But have a look at comment 3 in this link if you're a Squire fan:- Brassmaster
17. I was a major Lizzy fan as a young guy. I remember sneaking into the Edinburgh Odeon with some mates to watch their sound check in which they played 'Peaches' by The Stranglers. We were at stage right and I recall that Phil had a Maestro Brassmaster fuzz unit at his feet. Great band, great songs.
18. Ah, The Admiral! I miss this bass. Good luck with the sale but keep in touch cos I may want that fella back!!
19. Why dont you just try a set? It's the only way you'll know. I used rounds for years - even on my fretless basses - but I got a fretless Jazz that had a LIGHT (.40-.100) set of flats on it and I really liked them, esp played with both pups on full but plucking over the front of the front pup. Try'em!
20. Also on Ebay and here's the same blurb:- Have to this the herd so here's another one to go. Allparts 'Mary Kaye' finish body in Alder, very thin skin finish, allowing grain to show through. Very light yet resonant. Warmoth 22-fret neck (with overhang), large headstock with Graph-Tech string tree and aftermarket Fender decals. Radius is around 10", I'd guess and does not look compound. Fender stamped vintage Klusons and Fender stamped vintage bridge-saddles. Aged, mint green plates front and rear. No case or gig-bag though either could be added in at cost to be determined. I cannot stress enough how sweet these Slider pups sound and I also have a NOS set in one of my Teles. Check out Slider's pups on his MySpace site. Any Qs, fire away. Don't wanna have to part this out if I dont have to. Seeking c£400, ex-ebay. Now sold!
21.
Bump..
???......... why r u bumping someone else's ad??
22.
Has anyone read this book? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jaco-Extraordinary...2919&sr=8-1
Yeh, got it when it first came out. Apparently, Ingrid Pastorius took issue with some of the accounts in Milkowski's book. Any idea of there's been a 2nd or 3rd edtion with revisions?
23. IMO, Jaco used the Jazz from the early days and just stuck with it, though I'm sure he also had a Jazz with a fretted P-bass neck on which he practised his stretches. And, yeh, there is a lot to be said for staying with the one instrument. As for him using an Alembic, well, I never heard of his views on other basses. I know this much: I spent the '80s using active basses - even had an Alembic Series I which I hated! - and by the millenium I had worked my way round to the Jazz and decided that it was the bass for me. Bar the Steiny XL2A and two Ricks, all my basses are Jazzes. They do what it says on the tin!
24. Bastards. How were they caught? Who rumbled them?
25. Now withdrawn. Mad to sell this!!!
