1. I've just seen this. The colour is quite cool but there are limited choices, colour wise and, I'm not sure why they are over £400 more expensive than the last US Standard. I was really excited about the Elite series 5 P bass but I feel the price may just put me off. Does any one know what the main differences are and why such a huge price difference? I see they have limited the Dimension range as well http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_am_pro_p_bass_v_mn_ato.htm
2. If I had the spare cash, I would fly to Sweden to pick this up. I want this so much. Gutted. Very best of luck with the sale. Please someone, buybthis and put me out of my misery 😉
3. Just bought Freddie's TC RS212 cab. Super guy to deal with. Very friendly and easy going. Deal with Freddie with confidence. Another BC deal done with another top BC member. Thanks Freddie and good luck with all you do
4. Any pictures please? What colour?

6.
Where you based Matt ?
Me? I'm based in Cardiff 😊
7. Very interested in this. If I can shift my RS210, I'll be in touch.
8. In the past, I was ridiculously precious about them to the extent that I would be put off them if they had a dink. I would keep thinking about the dinks to the point of distraction. It was crazy. I am still very careful with my instruments as I do treasure them but, I'm not as precious as I was. I have an exclusion zone on stage though, which especially applies to my singer ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I got a brand new US Fender Dlx Dimension 5 about 3 months ago. There were 3 small dinks on it - on the heal, the headstock and the truss rod wheel. They bothered me for about 24 hours and then I treated them like birth marks. My Vigier came to me "new" and had 4 dinks which really annoyed me but again, I now look at them as part of the make up of the bass. All my basses and guitars are cleaned / looked after regularly, and always put away in a case after use. I have promised myself that any further basses I buy, will be 2nd hand. So much easier to deal with any sort of dink / scratch. They were designed to be played and they will get knocked. Since letting go of my over protectiveness, I enjoy the basses so much more
9. I shouldn't have sold a 2012 US Precision 5. I loved that bass. It played beautifully, sounded amazing but because of GAS, it went. Utterly stupid. I regret it a lot. I know the guy who has it but, he won't sell it back to me and, I don't blame him. #Stupid
10. This is the bass I've been searching for, for a long time. If I can sell my Vigier, I will be all over this. I want this so much.......
11. I Have seen sense. There is no way I will ever part with this. Too precious to me and therefore, being withdrawn after my momentary lapse of reason. Cheers.
12. Afternoon BC chums. I have done some research but can't seem to find any information on whether Fender are releasing a 5 string version of Precision Elite. I have been after a Fender Precision 5 string with 21 frets and the added Jazz pup for what seems, forever. Does any one happen to know if they are planning to add this to the Elite series range? They have the Jazz 5 Elite so, fingers crossed. Any help or information would be gratefully received, Thanks in advance
13. I played one of these for the first time yesterday. Just hired it from the rehearsal room as I couldn't be arsed to take my setup. Totally floored me. Seriously thinking of punting on my rig to get this head and a 4x10 of some sort. Amazing amp.
14. I have some serious GAS for a 5 string, headless bass. no idea why but the pull is string. Currently looking at NS Design, Status and Steinberger. This could get messy........
15.
I sold a Hiscox case to Matt. The transaction was as smooth as a set of flatwounds, and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again Cheers Matt!
Thanks Gareth, much appreciated
16. Bought a brand new Hiscox case from Gareth. An absolute pleasure to deal with him. Great communications and could;t do enough to help. Fast delivery, packaged brilliant. This is the reason I buy from BC because of people like him. Deal with utter confidence. Thanks very much Gareth
17. Bought a Mono Vertigo bag from Ambient. Good comms, easy deal. Highly recommended. Deal with confidence. Cheers
18.
If mattbass6 doesn't have it; my cat will have it at this price! (He loves curling up in my mono - he can have his own)
Decided to buy a Vertigo. It's all yours if still available sir 😉
19. This is such a personal preference type thing. I have had this chat with a few buds. I do prefer the 24 frets, though I never go beyond the 20th. I just like the extended feel it gives but, I recently got a 21 fret bass and it is just great. I don't change basses live so if I am taking one or the other out with me, there won't be any adjustment to make.
20.
They look a bit like an active version of the Korean Squier Protone Bass V from the mid 1990's (high mass bridge, humbuckers, light weight). I always swore I'd never play a Fender (or Squier) but it's my go to bass now.
That's a fine looking instrument. Nice I am a Fender guy at heart and, always will be. I wish Fender 21 fret Precision or P/J. I know they did a Deluxe P bass years ago that had the standard P pup and a humbucking J pup, too. Hard to find but, still looking. That's one of the reasons I love this Dimension so much. It is something different, 21 frets and brings me back home. Thanks for sharing the pic of your bass, very cool indeed
21.
awesome See if you can record some video when you take it out live
Absolutely. Will do
22. I've just had it professionally set up by the guy I always go to. He dressed the frets, shaped the nut to accommodate the strings I use, lowered the action a little and made one small adjustment on the neck as it was pretty damn straight anyway. With the strings on I use plus, the other work carried out, I am even more in love with this bass. Definitely going to be my main live bass and I'll keep the Vigier for the studio. Super chuffed with this beauty, as you can probably tell. Can't wait for the first gigs
