  1. Given your name @Burns-bass, it's obviously gone to the completely wrong person! 😋
  2. Although one will have to go, this triple threat of mighty beasts does look mildy arousing...
  3. Hi all, Up for sale here is my absolutely beautiful Purple Chili Phatt Bass 750w head with matching 2x12 cab. I'm pretty sure I have Purple Chili branded covers for both too. I've very recently bought an Ashdown CTM300 which I think I'll now be keeping, so this lovely bit of kit needs to unfortunately go. It's in near immaculate condition, the head has a 3 valve (12ax7) pre-amp with a 750w solid state power section - both the head and cab are much lighter than you'd expect from looking at them, very easy one-hand lifts. The head is 9kg and the cab is 18kg, so really about as light as you could possibly get for this kind of rig! For anyone that read it, I did recently post a thread about my Mesa rig and this rig being under powered, the issues it turns out is with the power supply to my studio and not with the amps! Be that a good or a bad thing for me... I'd love to keep it, but I just can't justify having this rig, the Mesa rig AND the Ashdown rig, so in the spirit of wanting to give the Ashdown rig a good go over the next few months, this Purple Chili rig is on the chopping block. Only a very small handful of these were made due to the cost of manufacture, so this is a rare beast indeed! Hand made in the UK with entirely British sourced parts (bar a small number of components). Looking for £650 for the lot which I believe is a very fair price indeed. Collection from Wickford in Essex. More pictures in a few days!
  4. Looks like I was the last one to leave feedback! Time for another addition... Richard sold me an Ashdown CTM300 with an ABM 410 cab, he also VERY kindly drove quite a considerable distance to get the deal done. Can't ask for more really! Top Basschatter!
  5. Fortunately for them we have a semi-sound proofed rehearsal room at the bottom of the garden! 👍
  6. Just a note to say Thanks to Warren. He very kindly agreed to lend me an amp to do some recording this weekend as my Mesa has been playing up. We agreed a time for me to collect, unfortunately due to some family circumstances I couldn't pick it up, but that doesn't change the fact that Warren was kind enough to help me out of a jam, which he didn't need to do. So thank you mate, really appreciated! A credit to Basschat! 🙂
  7. This should be in hand with me in a few hours! 😁 The wife will NOT be pleased...
  8. Get two with the BOGOF and set them to different lengths. 👍 No metal work within the adjustment mechanism on the strap means no scratches on the bass! No disagreement that they're not the easiest to adjust, but they sure are nice straps! 😁
  9. Pinegrove and/or Italia Leather are the ones I use and fit your above requirements. Italian are up to 4" wide and really supple, good ability to adjust too. https://italiastraps.com/collections/4-inch-wide They have a constant BOGOF offer too.
  10. You'd be pretty much going almost past my house on that route (SS11 7PT). A very generous offer sir, no matter who may take you up on it! If @E sharp is open to this, how close could you get to my postcode? What'd be the ideal 'meet spot'? (Assuming @Raslee hasn't officially bagsied it yet!)
  11. Pretty sure I may have already posted this, but here he is again... Binky!
  12. Honestly, they're not spectacularly different. I've owned maybe 3 Euro Spectors, all excellent instruments. The US NS6XL was a nicer bass, but not by a huge margin, and not to the extent of the price difference.
  13. Go on then, show us the full beast! If you do downsize, give me a shout! I used to have a Spector NS6XL a while back, loved it.
  14. Such a bunch of bottom of the rung basses... haven't you got any good gear to show us? 😆 Also, give me that Spector please... NOW!!!
  15. Yup, changed cables and cut out everything from the signal chain and still getting the issue.
  16. Unfortunately not - the Mesa was on for a good 3 hours last Thursday (the day I noticed the issue) with no gradual improvement.
  17. G75 on eBay for £99... that's a bit of a steal IMO. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155874481397?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Szg9cMcWSOW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mojaVkKDRiC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  18. I have a Line6 G75. It's a great set up, never missed a beat.

  20. Definitely not a problem in the signal chain. I do run a Line6 Helix, but for the purposes of troubleshooting, I ran direct into both amp with multiple different basses using both heads with both cabs and the problem remained. The studio is nearing 18 months old, not had issues before, but I'm certainly not ruling it out. I think my first port of call will be to run the amps through a different power outlet, see if that has an impact - if it does, then that's the issue. If not, then maybe re-valve one of them and if that works then I'll do the other. I suspect now it may a power supply problem...
