  1. Cool 'mini' rig... If I had space for a 4th rig I'd be strongly considering this - you're only 45 mins away too!
  2. I did exactly that with Biffy Clyro. Saw them at a gig with about 15 people there 20 odd years ago. T'was my plan all along!!! Bwa ha ha ha ha! (That was an 'evil' laugh by the way...)
  3. Falling down the stairs for eternity would win over Oasis.
  4. Sounds great with the ACG...
  5. I had an AD200B with a matching 410 and 115 years back, a fantastic sounding rig that looked awesome too. If your spine can handle the weight, there's nothing quite like looking at (and playing with!) a full Orange stack.
  6. Many of us are/have been/will be again on a quest to find that perfect light weight rig - with that in mind I think we should take the time to celebrate the heavey rigs out there! I've been back and forth between various heavy and light rigs for years, while undoubtedly a light rig is more convenient and less erosive on the spine, I just prefer the general tone of the heavy boys! Let's share some photos of heavy rigs that we currently own, or have owned. Currently, I'm knee deep in the heavies with the below 3 rigs: Eden WT1205 and Eden 610XLT cab Epifani UL901 and Epifani 610 cab Marshall VBA400 with Jubilee 410 and 115 What heavy beats have you got/did you have?
  7. I had a suspicion some kind of camera goggles may have contributed to the taking of this photo... Clearly you needed to have at least 2 fingers from each hand on the table, thus preventing you from using standard photo taking apparatus. 😉
  8. What kind of wizardry is happening in this photo!! Are your eyes cameras? Do you have a 3rd hand? Are they not your hands?
  9. Comes with a personalised set up and new set of strings when you buy it too... at £1600, that's not unreasonable. Worth the extra £100 on its own, just about!
  10. If having a multiscale bass is an absolute definite, then you won't go far wrong with the Ibanez, they are very good instruments - and as you say much lighter and more compact than the Dingwall. If multiscale isn't an absolute definite, your options will open up more. As someone mentioned, ACG are outstanding things - I currently own 6 of them.
  11. Excellent wireless systems these... have been using one for a good few years without missing a beat. @Rich77 I think there's a belt clip on the other side, though mine is in a little padded pouch so can't quite remember!
  12. @AlfieC There's this at BassBros. Might be able to negotiate a little to get it closer to your budget... https://bassbros.co.uk/product/dingwall-combustion-3-6-string-w-front-side-sims-leds/
  13. Yeah, not running it through the effects loop. I don't typically bother doing that if I'm honest! Running the Helix into a Line6 G75 wireless - makes for a great set up! The cab was a bit of a challenge to carry 200ft down the garden to the studio though!
  14. I suspect that might cause the world to end. If Trumps gets in, I'll do it. 😄
  15. Thanks to @Sonic_Groove I am now the proud owner of an early 2000s Eden WT1205 with an EDEN 610XLT cab and a 500w Eden Time Traveller combo... All the proper USA built stuff. Just got it all home and given it a very quick test run, I forgot how much I genuinely like Eden gear! I used to have a WT800 with two 410XLT cabs and it sounded epic with a USA Spector NS6XL - playing my ACG through this rig makes for a very similar tone. Very happy indeed!
  16. Do you still have the WT1205?
  17. Alessandro Venturella (aka V Man) was selling a fair few mesa bits a couple of years back including 3 Strategy Eight:88 heads, so can well believe this is ex-Slipknot.
  18. Bought some Ernie Ball stickers from Joel, they arrived promptly! Can't fault the transaction, another credit to basschat!
  19. @Hotglove, That's the exact bass I started on - a blue one bought from cash Converters in Chelmsford 22 years ago. It served me well and started the hideous addiction I have now!
  20. I also went there 20 odd years ago! I wonder if we crossed paths... They had plenty of amps when I was there, though I did have a stupidly huge Trace 810 in my tiny room with a stupidly huge 8U rack monstrosity as a head.
  21. Bit clickbaity? The son shouldn't be punished for the crimes of the father. There's an interesting Louis Theroux documentary featuring YungBlud, during that they touch on his trouble relationship with his father. I don't particularly like his music, but I can respect the path he's walking.
  22. An excellent lesson in how to turn a small, light head into a giant cumbersome beast! 😆 Great heads these though... 👍
  23. He absolutely represents the worst of Britain. I'm sure he's out there throwing bricks at police as we speak.
  24. Jon Letts represents close to the worst of humanity in almost every way someone can. I know this from a great deal of personal experience dealing with him. The less of his type in the world, the better the world would be.
