  1. I have one of these cabs and they are disgustingly good. A mere 15kg too.
  2. I'd guess that they occasionally played it without the B string attached. Either way, it needs burning.
  3. A Fletress too apparently... 🤔
  4. Indeed. ACG Salace E-Type 33" 24 fret set neck. Best basses I've ever used, and I've used many! When you find what's right for you, why use anything else.
  5. Any interest in parting it out? I'd be interested in a few bits, but definitely wouldn't need the full lot!
  6. If this was a 6...
  7. Dang. Would love a 6er midi-bass.
  8. Everything this seller sells is. They're quite well known in these parts for exactly that!
  9. Myself and two pals drove down to Chris's to collect his rather nice 335 Dot. Chris was a true gent, he had the guitar ready to be plugged in and tested, needless to say it worked absolutely fine and was actually in better condition than described! An all round excellent chap to deal with! Would happily buy from again! 😀
  10. I tend to filter for UK only, so that'll limit what I can see, maybe searching in the US yields you a better assortment of good deals, but the stuff I see in the UK isn't really ever worth it.
  11. I've bought one thing from it and sold two thing on it. But I find I rarely get sales from it or rarely find good deals on it.
  12. Hi all, This was delivery yesterday, its not quite what I'm after so would like to see if anyone wanted it. These are £40 new, I bought this in a special deal for £30, so would like to recover what I paid. Postage within UK is included in the price. It has 4 pockets (1 'secret' one) and can hold several sets of guitar strings, capos, plecs etc. or can just be used as a cash wallet! This is brand new, freshly delivered and comes with the cotton pouch and unopened booklet and sticker. £30 delivered.
  13. Prove to yourself it can! Buy this glorious beast! 😁
  14. Nah, that's dirt cheap! They're worth at least a million! 😄 Title now corrected to a mere £1250! That'll learn me for trying to post while still no where near awake!
  15. Hi all, Up for sale here is my stunning ACG Harlot 6 string bass. This bass was made by ACG in the UK and is in excellent condition with only one or two very minor marks. I'm putting this back up for sale as we're about to start some major home improvements and I could do with adding a little cash to the pot. The bass has a Goncalo Alves top and back with a beautiful grain, the body wood is Butternut and it has black accent veneers between the top, body and back woods. The neck is a 7 piece ebony/maple/black Limba construction and looks stunning. The headstock has a matching Goncalo Alves cap and an ebony heel, it's 34" scale and plays absolutely superbly. It has an ACG active RFB pickup in the neck position and an active SB pickup in the bridge position. The string spacing is 18m and the bridge is 6 individual Hipshot monorail bridge pieces. The tuners are Hipshot Ultralite. The preamp is an ACG EQ01 4K parametric preamp which in combination with the pickups gives you an incredibly wide pallette of tones - you can honestly get everything from a P bass to a jazz, a Musicman to a Rickenbacker and everything inbetween. It really is hugely versatile. Going by the ACG website, to order this bass today would cost circa £3500. Included is a brand new Hiscox hard case to allow for safe shipping. Although I would obviously rather it be collected to make sure it doesn't get damaged in transit. Any questions, please ask!
  16. Richter and Righton are two different brands. I have 2 Richter Straps and 4 Pinegrove straps - after going through a huge amount of straps during lockdown, these were the best. The Richter SpringBreak III are the ones I use at the moment for my ACGs.
  17. Have you tried Pinegrove? They do excellent straps - the 4" one with the padded sides is extremely comfortable. Richter also have a good range of 4" Vegan straps - might be worth a look.
  18. Very nice! Posts get bumped when you add a new comment.
  19. My old bass! (I didn't realise it was you selling it when you messaged me on a different website!)
  20. I absolutely agree with the above, DO NOT go straight to a 6er with 19mm spacing, it will absolutely put you right off them! It'll be far easier to get used to and to play if you aim for around 17mm spacing, on a 6ers that'll effectively reduced the breath of the neck by 1cm, which doesn't sound much, but if you're brand new to 6ers, going from a 4 string neck to a very wide 6er neck will feel far worse to play that adjusting your playing to a slightly narrower spacing. (IMHO!) The HB 6ers are perfectly fine, my personal recommendation is to try and find a second hand Cort A6 of some variety, they are (again IMHO) about the best bang for buck you'll get out of a 6er, and if you buy second hand, and really don't get on with it, you can sell it on and not loose a ton of money. The ESP LTD B206SM or B-1006 are good basses too, but are SUPER heavy. Look for a Cort A6, make an offer to someone selling one second hand (there is even one for sale in the for sale section here!), see if you can get a decent price (take a look at eBay past sales to get an idea of the appropriate price to pay) and if you don't like it you won't loose money selling it.
  21. Very nice. Any interest in trades?
