@Kiwi all yours pal!

@Pseudonym1 @Thunderpants You/the seller know now with absolute certainty that it is not a Classic IV, if you don't believe the multitude of people that have told you, you can google it. Yet you absolutely refuse to change the listing to correct the mistake. No one placed a sky high bid on this bass until it was absolutely obvious you knew (if you didnt already before) that what you were selling was not a Classic IV. So why not change the listing? The time you have put into 'teaching lessons' has FAR exceeded the time it would have taken to change the listing to the correct thing. Can you adequately explain that? Yes, you initially were not aware the listing was incorrect, MANY people politely told you, you then flat out refused to amend it, now your super angry and have gone all stalkerish because some decent people won't allow you to knowingly defraud a potential buyer. Stupid is as stupid does indeed Mr Gump.

Good samaritans sir. Saving people from buying fraudulent items! I'd say we're more superheroes actually... maybe even gods?? What higher than a god? We're that. 😁

Clearly you're the seller. But for fun let's play along!!! The 'seller' was told politely by 3 people that it isn't a Classic IV and still ignored all advice and flat out refused to amend the listing. Now you (I mean the 'seller') are upset that they've been called out. If the seller simple said 'oh, yeah that's right' and amended the listing to be accurate everyone would be happy and he'd have the bass sold honestly in no time! Oh, and I'm not certain 8 hours counts as long term...

That's enough for YOU to buy a real one you mean? Either way, it wouldn't be what was in the picture so it'd still get returned! Just advertise the bass for what it is mate and don't be getting all angry you got called out on your incorrect description.

Go on then @Dan Dare, take a £100,000 punt! See if that's enough to take the prize! Gasping to get it to over a million! 😂
-
Damn, £49,000 was my limit! 😂
-
Yeah, that's my bid!
-
I'm feeling like being a nuisance so I've put a £1000 bid on it.

A Bongo and its overall style is 100% different, and yes totally Marmite. But a 'Fender Copy' with a different headstock pretty much alienates 90% of the market. Sure 10% will dig it, but as a business do you want the 90% or the 10%?

Gotsta target your target audience! Even if people are conditioned to like something, (which on one hand I see your point, but on the other I don't 100% agree with as I don't own any Fender basses and I really love the look of all the non-fender headstock I do own (ACG, De Gier, Bee Bass, Conklin, Overwater, Aries, Yamaha, Warwick etc.)) you need to target what they like, be it due to conditioning or not. We're all conditioned in varying degrees, essentially 'conditioning' is what turns the blank slate you are born with into an individual personality. That being said, I still really do not like (personal opinion) the headstock Bite offer at all. It is (to me) clunky awkward, a bit ugly and really spoils the basses aesthetics and I wouldn't buy from them because of this and this alone. In my humble opinion of course.

I believe you have stolen Johnny 5's face...

@jazzmanb @BITE Guitars I don't see it as being grilled, and I don't thing Bite have taken it that way. This forum is a unique and fantastic way to get genuine feedback for bass start ups, in this instance 9 out of 10 people have said they would likely not buy one of these due to the headstock. As we represent a fair cross-section of the bass playing community it would seem fairly unanimous that the headstock is a massive hang up for many potential customers that like the concept but are wholly put off by the headstock. If Bite are savvy, and wish to have a successful business, I would expect them to have open ears on this and to (at the very least) offer a traditional headstock as an alternative to their signature headstock. From their comments, it seems like this is now a serious consideration, which if they implement I would applaud as it shows they have listened to their potential customers. This is a great idea for a business, to be able to order a unique bass in your own style for a good price and with an attractive lead time. I am certain Bite will do well if they can offer a traditional headstock along side their more unique one. After all, business is business!

Another 'seller'... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184196478517

I reported them all! 😂 Actually glad to see eBay cleaning up the trash.

Each of those items is from a 'different' seller, and each item each 'seller' is selling has a different email address listed in the second picture. They all have a lot of positive feedback as a buyer, not a seller, and a lot of the feedback looks to be for small cheap purchases judging buy what the sellers who left him feedback are selling. Maybe they've generated high feedback accounts from cheap purchases to then go on the con with all the expenses items they're now selling. Something super fishy here...

Look at the second picture sir.
