  1. Hey, what was the headphones you used? Also the impedence? (noob question alert) How’s impedence affect the sound we hear?
  2. You have been helpful. Let’s find out what martinb headphones was and impedence and then we have learnt something 😁
  3. Oh that’s interesting. I had just decided on the digbeth as I found it at the best price. In regards of it sounding thin and quiet. When you raise the volume of the doesn’t it sort the quietness? Does it sound much quieter than you plugging headphones into an amp head which has a headphone port?
  4. Hey Peeps. I am looking to get a practice amp/pedal for while I travel about and when I am not home. I have whittled down to the three listed in title. I read the thread on the nux preamp, and laney digbeth here. I wondered if anyone has had all or more than one of the above. If so how do they stack up against each other. note I will be using it with headphones and using the AUX in to practice atm.
  5. They really are. Yours looks like a 600 extremely rare
  6. That is sexy. Greco?
  7. that body is “Sen” Asian ash equivalent. I recently bought a 70’s jap Yamaha pulser 400 and its Sen body. Great find you have
  8. Thanks for the comparison. Like others have stated I find it interesting how deep the American pro II necks are. My favourite necks are the late 70’s.
  9. The red bodies are ash. Listing this would help this bass find a new home. Ash body maple neck p basses don’t come around all that often. I just bought a 70’s Yamaha pulser to get that profile pass. good luck on sale.
  10. You said it perfectly lol. It’s like how I love the sound of nearly dead rotosound swing 66 strings.
  11. Hey Peeps. So while entering the rabbit hole of finding some pickups, I found myself coming across the creamery pickups. Dotted around the net I’ve only read glowing reviews. headly any footage or sample of how they sound. I only found one of the 58p. I’m interested in people’s experience of the “solo” , “65p” and “74p” I feel Will help the community for reference when deciding on what pickups they want. Here is the 58p footage:
  12. YES, I remember!! I commented on your thread. I love the maple neck, black body tortoiseshell pickguard. Sexy as hell. Nice reverse neck as well. I’ll follow the progress. Do keep us updated on how you find the lollar pickups. In your thread it seems you originally had fender pickups. You didn’t like them?
  13. Ouch. 🫣 that seems like a headache. Everyone makes mistakes right. Just sometimes those mistakes can be more costly than others. Hope you aren’t really in need of the bass. What woods did you use for the body and neck?
  14. interesting you say the treble is soft. my Yamaha pulser 400 can have rather sharp highs. I have strung it with some stainless steel dr strings and d’addario XL170 nickel strings. I keep going back to the stainless steel.
  15. It’s been a while. What did you think of the pick ups? I recently bought a Japanese Yamaha pulser 400 which is a Sen (Asian ash) boy with a maple neck. I’m in the process of making a decision on what I want. Strings play a big part also.
  16. Dam I didn’t realise mononeon was in the uk. I’m a big fan of him. weirdly I think his a insane bass player. Incredibly creative. I don’t clock with his own music though. when is he at ronnies?
  17. Bought some strings from @MungoBass last week. Great communication and transparency. Transaction was smooth. Would highly recommend him.
  18. It’s an amazing groove. it’s weird how im finding all these tracks when I was surround by music. Goes to show that just because you are in the industry doesn’t mean you are exposed to good music lol.
