  1. Thanks for info. I will have to look what impedance my headphones are. I will give the crappy iphone headphones a try and see what happens. I will update later today.
  2. I've not as yet. My Bose headphones are battery powered, music plays whether I switch on the Bose or not, but the sound becomes much louder when I turn on the Bose noise cancelling. I presume they are acting like a headphone amp.
  3. It is under warranty and returns. I've until the 8th of July to return it.
  4. I am not sure to be honest. Some of the suggestions have been helpful.
  5. Oh wow that’s a massive difference to my experience. Extremely weird.
  6. Hey peeps. I purchased the mighty plug pro this month to replace my NUX MLD preamp pedal for home practice. I’m finding that on a full charge it only lasts at most one hour. I connect my Bose noise cancelling headphones and sometimes play along to YouTube tracks. I think this has amazing potential but everytime I get into a vibe or I’ve made up a chord progression it dies. Very dejecting. 😭 What are people getting out of a full charge?
  7. I bought the NUX Mighty plug pro this to replace my NUX MLD pre amp pedal. It’s great. Loads of functionality etc etc. Problem I’m getting is it battery only lasts about 1 hour. So just when I get into something it dead. Is this a common thing with this headphone amp? really kills my flow. So much so as I’m thinking of returning it.
  8. Appreciate this. As I was going to work around Camden I went to the bass gallery today. Tried the three cabs with time hammer. Trace Elliot 110, ampeg 112 and Aguilar sL112. Didn’t really like the trace Elliot. Ampeg was ok. Aguilar was very nice. Very mid focused. Warm and articulate. To big and rather pricey for home use if you ask me.
  9. Great shout Dan. I called the bass gallery this week but they stated they don’t work with barefaced anymore nor do they have any in stock atm. Didn’t have any compact cabs during the time.
  10. Cheers. You should give them a try. My mate who I got these of has done vintage Bart’s coming his way and if he doesn’t like them I said I’ll take them. I’ll keep you posted as when I A&B with mine I’ll let one go. That’s if he doesn’t like them lol.
  11. That’s amazing. I bet you learnt a lot. That p bass is not going anywhere now right? lol. I have the classics “8cbp”. It has a buttery smooth treble but with presence. Never harsh. Bass is deep ( I put flats on to tame my bass as I think my Asian ash and maple fretboard caused the E string hard to tame with rounds) and mids can be very articulate, I love to boost mids at 800hz. I play mostly finger style. My misses says when I play melodic phrases with my bass it’s very dreamy and articulate while never being harsh. Chords and melodic phrasing sound beautiful to me with Bart’s. I would presume the lollars are more growly and expressive.
  12. It’s always nice when a change inspires you. I was first looking for Lollar pickups for my 79 Yamaha jap pbass. I kept missing some on the used market. In that time a friend offered me some Bart’s. They sang in a way that inspired me to improvise for hours upon hours. I would like to try lollars at one point though.
  13. more fusion but the synergy and groove is insane!!
  14. Good shoot actually. In central London. Not many music stores are around anymore. Guitar guitar in Camden, the bass gallery, wunjos guitars in Denmark street. That all I can think about regarding cabs. bass direct would be great if I was closer
  15. Thanks mate. Ive started the search for a used one10. Would love to try one but I doubt anyone is near me with one. From what I’ve heard on barefaced YouTube channel it sounds warm yet articulate.
  16. Question. What are the EQ frequency settings of the bass, mids, treble on the Yamaha bb734A. I have looked on the Yamaha website and it doesn’t state. Internet doesn’t come back with anything either Cheers
  17. I played the exact same today. I’m surprised how much I liked it as it’s active. Truly an enjoyable bass to play.
  18. I just went to try some bb basses at Yamaha. Tried the bbp34, bb434 and bb734A. I have a 79 Yamaha pulser 400 which has a 39” neck and Bartolini pickups. The bbp34 was great. Built well, growly tone. For someone who never gets on with active basses at all (I’m an analogue person) I preferred the bb734A. It was easier to dial in things as everything has a d10 notch. Genuinely shocked I preferred it. Tone reminded me of my Bart’s. made me think, is the tone I like even vintage.
  19. That’s fair. I’ve never bought an amp and cab before only combos. Not sure on any other options.
  20. I know I was going to get these responses 🙈. Maybe I’m just being tight hahahahhahahahaha
  21. Hey peeps, hope everyone is well and catching a tan in this weather lol. I am looking for a compact cab that will compliment the tone hammer. I’m looking for a compact size. The first one that comes to mind is the barefaced one10. Is there any others anyone could recommend for around that price range or cheaper ( it going to be for jamming at home with the misses who plays piano)?. I play a pbass Asian ash with maple fretboard. Chrome flats or dead rotosounds and playing style is all fingerstyle. I LOVE the ashdown abm evo head but it’s over kill atm for home I feel. cheers
  22. Great purchase at an amazing price!! You will have loads of fun with it. I’m a fan of the ABM 300 evo iv tone I’ve played. It’s heaven for a pbass with flats tone. Warm yet it has so much clarity for fingerstyle playing.
