  1. I have dealt with will. Bought a bass last November. Spoke to him yesterday via what’s app about getting another bass we have been in communication with for a bit. He said last week was crazy as he had over 50 basses in. He will get back to you his just rather caught up. Either ring him and leave a voicemail if you don’t get through, email or what’s app. I replied but waiting for a response. I know he will respond back. Like others say he does get back and is amazing to deal with.
  2. if you have any p bass pickups I’ll be happy to help with the fund of this 😁
  3. Wow these are rare in the used market. Most people have tried the PB63 version. You seem to try alot of great pickups. I wouldn't be surprised if a pair of arcane experience 65 p bass pickups pop up you selling lol. GLWTS.
  4. lol very true. That is exactly what happened. the Pickup mounting screws are completely different. They have a flat head but the lip is thick. I've not found it anywhere. I have a fender mounting screw in atm and it's too long. everything is online for these things now. None of my local music stores have things like this.
  5. These are rare to pop up. Just saw your profile pic of “bass mews”. It’s litterally down the road from me lol. Good luck with the sale.
  6. purple pickup covers may be good. As they are 3d printed its not a big commitment. Hope all is well on your side.
  7. I saw this on Bassbros. A friend was interested. It sold within hours. By the time my friend finished work and went to buy it. It was gone. I recently bought a Yamaha pulser 400 from will. I would love to try or own this bass.
  8. Hey, are the Bartolini pickups 8c or 8s. Your title says 8c but the description says 8s. prob a little mistake
  9. cheers mate. I was thinking of heading to my local diy store 🙈
  10. lol I try to channel paul Jackson but I think I need to have a quite word with myself about a reality check😂🤣😂. on your bass I had a look and some have a code on the neck plate and also a sticker just above with a number. That tells the model. I didn’t know some was made in Korea. My Yamaha pulser has a serial number on the headstock so I can date it to 1978-79. talkbass may be a place to ask also. Im not very familiar with tokai history sadly. Fender japan was where Ive looked mostly as I was on the hunt for a pb62-95 and pb70-95. hopefully someone will be able to help out.
  11. Happy new year. I have a mij Yamaha pulser pbass and I lost a pickguard screw and need to replace a pickup mount screw. I notice they are different to fender and western style. I’ve looked on all parts websites and so many options. I’m no diy person so apologies the noob question. is there a specific screw the Asian builders use? I noticed all screws have codes. cheers
  12. I was on eBay this morning and found this company as well as bloodstone guitarsworks. like your post not much info on the net.
  13. Hey, does it any serial codes anywhere? That would help loads.
  14. lol very true. My dad an avid Rasta would blaze reggae and lovers rock. My mum would love playing soca music.
  15. Man I missed out on so much epic music back then. My ear picked up the pattern straight away. I’m getting better 🤩 lol. thanks for the post @Reggaebass
  16. This is nasty. Dam it really hit me with the funk. Time to get my slap going.
  17. I’ve bought a 70’s Yamaha pulser bass from him around October. Experience was great. I know some people start in the 9th (tomorrow). why not give him a ring? You could then leave a voicemail if you don’t get through.
  18. Thanks for your experience. I may just give them a call actually.
  19. how did you find the pickups with this setup?
  20. Did you pull the trigger on these pickups? I literally found them this weekend and came on here to do a search.
  21. This has been a very interesting convo to read. I will second what you state about the nux Melvin Lee Davis pedal for home practice. I bought one recently. I downloaded the shift line bass ir pack also (has ampeg b15 can ir). Sounds cool with headphone for silent practice. I keep switching back and forth to amp combo with my pedal attached and just pedal and headphones as the headphones vs speaker moving air experience are different. The word “connection” really feels relevant. Not sure if it was you or another member who stated this. I don’t gig. It’s more a creative outlet for me. My friend who is a gigging bass player doesn’t like iem’s but when you are playing big arena’s and touring you have no choice. He uses a quad cortex pedal.
  22. The consensus from here at basschat and talkbass is the tonerider pickup is very similar to the seymour duncan sbp1 and the fender original 62. At a third of the price.
