  1. Nice. If you ever consider giving it a new home, my mij basses will help it settle in lol. I have this soft spot for anything Japanese 🙈
  2. Seems like someone snapped up the fretless 1200. Anyone from here?
  3. oh so it’s a tad smaller to the difference between the bb1200 and bb1000. I’ll have to do some research on them then. Are the Japanese made? Is the tone similar to the bb3000?
  4. what difference is this bass to the bb3000? They look the same.
  5. https://bassbros.co.uk/product/1981-yamaha-broad-bass-bb1200-fretless/ fretless bb1200. I spoke to will on the weekend a he spoke about having this bass. I was gutted when the words “fretless” came out of his mouth as I’m not a fretless person.
  6. I totally forgot about Anderson’s. That would make all the sense. Thanks for this.
  7. Shame i didn't say. I like to play funk, soul, a little jazz and Motown. Not really a rock kind of guy. Guitarguitar have the ampeg and fender rumble in store. Heard good things about the laney digbeth, gk, mark bass.... some many dam options i cant try lmao another question is how does monitoring speaking hooked up to computer and using software like logic etc compare.? You can tell i have not experience lol
  8. Hey peeps. I started bass with a small stagg combo amp then decided to pickup a Melvin Lee Davis peas Al so I can carry long with me and practice at home and away. I’ve found I just don’t get on with headphones compared to actual real speakers. The MLD pedal has IR’s which are great but I always go back to a physical speaker. Im based in central London and now PMT near old street is gone I have very few places (guitar guitar and Yamaha ) to try amps/combos. I doubt the amp will leave the house. what advise could you give on getting a physical amp/combo? most of the low priced combos have 8” speakers. I don’t want Meh sound. Price limit is around 400. I’m happy to go used or new. Any ideas or help? I have little experience in this area. Coupled with limited places to try with my bass. cheers
  9. Nice bass and story. Can I ask how come the serial number at the back of the headstock is scratched out?
  10. What bass did you pick up?
  11. I literally looked yesterday at his Yamaha section and noticed the black bb1000’s had gone. Congrats. I wouldn’t mind one but tbh I want to finish off this bass before thinking of another.
  12. Heys peeps, I did a search here and didn’t see anything come up. who has used or is still using the Bartolini 8cbp p bass pickup and if so how are they and how do they compare to the 8s? thanks in advance
  13. Nice. No arguments then lol. You know the bass is a keeper when you put flats on them. That’s like the bass equivalent of marriage 🤣😂.
  14. Hey mate. I took to long and the bass went. Was a great price tbh. Funny enough I recently watched the Andy video. His a cool Kat.
  15. This is promising thanks. I will keep an eye out. I normally wait for Bassbros to get stuff in. ill pm you if I have more questions cheers
  16. Wow it was below 900 after all the customs and tax? I think you said you got it from the well know. Japanese music store.
  17. As you have a couple interested parties on the chromes, give first option to who reached out to you first. If that was me fine. If not no worries. If that makes sense.
  18. Hey what gauge is the chromes. Also how old are they? Maybe a better wording is how worn in are they lol
  19. So that is where the David Allen pickup went lol. beautiful bass my friend. I agree about the neck profile it’s really nice to play. GLWTS. I’ll keep an eye on this.
  20. Love the colour combo. I’ve a pulser 400 that weighs 4.4kg 9lbs 10. I don’t see it as an issue at all. Nice wide strap and you are good. The BB800 has a rosewood fretboard where as the BB1000 and BB2000 have ebony. Other than that the specs are the same of BB1000. GLWTS
  21. lol when i first saw the picture i thought the picture was at a angle. i never knew Yamaha did a double P. It feels like Yamaha is a rabbit hole. You get a gem then findout about another and then another. The cycle never stops
  22. Ive just went through all the 80's japanese catalogues and didnt see this. I only saw the BBVii. Was this bas a jap only product?
