  1. Update. I just called will. They are updating the server. He didn’t realise things wasn’t going through his side both email and what’s app. I would suggest giving him a call as you are sure to get hold of him. As normal his a great person to communicate with regarding possible purchases.
  2. Yeah I’m not enraged in the slightest. Genuinely wanted to see if everything is ok. I’ve interacted with him before.
  3. Yes normally I use the what’s app function and he replies rather swiftly also. Not been the case this time. I sent a whats app message then a couple days in I went on the contact section to send a email.
  4. Oh ok. That is weird. Maybe they got caught up. I emailed kloppmann pickups. They took a while to reply but apologised saying the email got lost in filter. That happens sometimes. It go to junk mail. Happened to me with clients lol
  5. Hey peeps. I was wondering if anyone has gotten in contact with bass bros within the past weeks? sent a message via what’s app link and then email but no response as yet. They normally respond promptly.
  6. 75 fender jazz just up on bassbro. https://bassbros.co.uk/product/1975-fender-jazz-bass-3/ Found a PB70 which I may be interested in. Thing is the serial number is dated 1984-1987. The very first production of the pb70 was 1990. I’ve checked all catalogues. I’ve messaged will anyhow.
  7. I’m really looking for a p but you are making me think as I know how good these are.
  8. What wood is the body?
  9. A person I follow has the standard wound pickups in a 77 p bass (ash body/maple neck) and it sounds sooo nice. kloppman ate another amazing sounding pickup. Congrats 🥳 Let us know how you get on with them.
  10. I saw this in the morning also. The pickups hand changed also. Like you said the info is shocking. im on the hunt for a 70’s p so I have a saved search I look at.
  11. Wow truly is a bargain. If you have any precisions I’ll be ready to pounce. I’ve found any product from japan has a level of precision. good luck.
  12. I was just about to say that it back. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266360366114? mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=BB7G2mDXRVS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Rn8UiLvPR9K&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY suspect?
  13. congrats! I’m sure it will serve you well. You guys are making me crave my mid 70’s p bass even more lol
  14. Oh. What did you pick up this evening? It’s a nice weight. For me the 70’s neck are the most comfortable for me.
  15. Thanks for info. It will be my first vintage bass. I actually saw the ash body on bass bro. It was a three piece natural finish. Tbh the three piece put me off. I played a mocha 77 ash body maple neck in wunjo’s in central london. It was out of this world. Problem is it’s 3.5k. 1k more than going price is a tad to much for my liking.
  16. Very very nice. I’m after a maple neck. im sure this will go in a flash
  17. After me racking my brains on the black poles in pick up. I found that kloppman pick up poles are indeed black just like the ones in the 1980 p bass I tried. what is the price range for a mid to late 70’s fender p bass?
  18. Hey. I really liked it. The neck was a gem to play. I think my wrist prefers 70’s profile pbass necks that are deep but slightly narrower in width. It was interesting as the pick-up poles was black never seen that before. I presume they are stock pick ups. I tried an another 70’s ash body maple neck pbass. I think the other one’s pick up had a tad more character. I was able to get the paul Jackson finger funk tone better. gutted that I injured my fretting hand so deciding which one is on hold atm sadly.
  19. I find them to be cool. I last went about a month ago to try the 1980 precision bass. I always stay for a while and just chat lol.
  20. Wow!!!!! what a collection. I only knew sting playing a 51 p. Lots of learning to do lol i love the look also. I’m a massive fan of paul Jackson. During his time with herbie Hancock he used a fender p ash body maple neck for live shows. The colour was mocha. I actually went i to town and played a 1978 mocha p bass. It was AMAZING but it was 3.5k🙈. I love the sound of ash body with a maple neck. Suits my finger funk style. I admire your collection. If you do see any please do pm me.
  21. I wasn’t playing bass back when this bass came out. This is exactly the bass I’m after. Ash body maple neck. Near impossible to find. I was gonna ask if you don’t play it I would take it off your hands. I then read it’s your main bass lmao you lucky bugger lool
  22. Hey mate. Beautiful bass!! What is the body ash or alder?
  23. Hey. That’s weird I looked on around four guides which was all the same. this is interesting I’ll dig more. https://reverb.com/uk/news/how-to-date-a-fender https://support.fender.com/en-us/knowledgebase/article/KA-01874 https://www.andybaxterbass.com/blogs/news/fender-serial-number-guide I could show more but all show the same. I don’t have experience in this. I just wanted peoples input before I decide to buy
  24. Hey, I should have said written. Here are some pics of what I was talking about. everything seems legit tbh. Loads of pictures of pots, underneath of pick ups etc.
  25. Hi peeps, hope all is well. I have a bass I am interested in purchasing. A Fender MIJ P bass. On the base of the neck it's stamped with the year 89 (1989), and the serial number at the back of the neck starts with E. When I looked up the serial number everywhere, it showed E serial number basses are made between 1984-1987. Is this normal? I would have thought it probably would have been the other way around. stamp on the base of the neck earlier date and serial number later. Cheers
