1.
I reckon Groove65 might have some recourse - description says great condition. I would give my local CAB a call and ask if it's possible to initiate county court action in the case of a second hand item either described improperly or improperly packaged for shipping. Even better, I do believe that Melfaso would be obliged to attend a county court hearing at the court in which the papers were filed if it went ahead.
Sounds like the best option, if of course - he has details beyond a paypal email address. You'd need the sellers name, address etc to make a claim.
2. Nope, still not seen one, seems like a bit of a flop.
3.
It appears that this may be the case here? We need pictures
Where do you draw the line after that ? If I sold a bass with an almost invisible scratch I hadn't advertised would I be banned ? It's down to the buyer to be satisfied that the item they are purchasing is from someone they can trust and that the item is seen (even if just online) before being bought, same as eBay really. The buyer himself has said it's partially his own fault for not waiting for decent pics to ensure the bass was as described.

Never bought anything from Tony but I live round the corner from him and have met him a few times now. Deal in confidence etc..

New Fenders

Prices have gone up a bit haven't they ? It's in MusicMan territory now and they won't win that one..
6. I've ensured the offending seller cannot post anything without a moderator previewing it first. A ban is unfortunately not really likely to happen as he hasn't done anything against the terms and conditions of using this forum. It is unfortunately caveat emptor and the forum/moderators cannot take responsibility for any for sale items. Moderators can mediate in a dispute if required, but it isn't really any of our business and the deal is strictly speaking a private affair. That said - we don't want to see members being swindled and if someone is blatantly selling ropey gear or just taking money then we will of course take action.
7. Too many threads on same topic going on - please use the others .
8. You can get an Ashdown EB-12 180 for £180 new and they regularly sell on eBay for around £120 if you don't mind 2nd hand.
9. I picked mine up 2nd hand for <£200. They were on sale at soundslive.co.uk for £250 for a bit too... they ran out around December I think. There was one on the for sale section for £200 but collection only from Bristol. Might be worth asking the seller if he's still selling.
10.
(sorry Tony, hope you aren't offended and don't mind that I've used your pics).
He told me he's coming looking for you. And said how dare you cheat on his Sterling .

'Ignore User'
Thats the first time anyone has said that to me on an internet message board :-) If a person (lets call him steve) ignores someone (fred) and then someone who hasn't ignored fred then quotes something fred said will steve see it or will it be ignored also? Confusing eh!?!
It will be visible as the person who quoted it isn't the user blocked. It'd be probably too complex to implement blocking based on other users posts.
14. I'll tell you what it's like on Friday . I didn't buy it though... but live 2 miles from the man who did !
15. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Emex-Romaxe_W0QQitem...1QQcmdZViewItem Never seen anything like it, not sure if I wanted to either.
16. Hmm I doubt it, they aren't obliged to give a refund in this case.
17. Don't be so pessimistic wateroftyne, you can get a couple of plectrums too.
18. It's Wamsley btw . And yeah great player, he's really down to earth and quite frankly a little bit mental - I loved seeing him at Bass Day 06. He's chums with Steve Lawson too..
19. I had one of those, it was an utter turd i'm afraid . Thin sounding pickups, horrid dry fingerboard and scratchy pots.
20. Nah it just means he hasn't set the date on his camera. It isn't from 2003 as the MAG range didn't have that style grille back then.
21. I borrowed one at a gig once. It was the 15" 150w combo, but missing the front grille, weighed an absolute tonne (had to lift it over cymbal stands without sticking one through the cone) and the XLR was broken. That said it sounded ok and was loud enough for the situation.
22. I like an SR505 I played - had a bit of a Warwick growl going on with it to be honest. They are a good value 6 string AND they do sound good. Same goes for the BTB556 really.
