1. Steve Lawson may be a suitable candidate.
2. Items rarely sell without some form of image - if you upload a couple it may help .
3. Same experience here. Martin Burrows sent me a screw cap for my ABM when I told him I was missing one. He even replies to my endless torrent of stupid questions.
4.
That's scuppered that then
Looks like we have about 10% of members signed up actively posting..
5. Strictly speaking they are both MIA ! The Highway has a non-gloss (nitrocellulose I believe) but satin finish that isn't as strong as the American standard model. It is prone to more wear and will bash more easily, but some people will prefer this ! The nitro finish will lead to easier 'mojoing' of the bass. And i've not heard many people have much good to say about the S-1 switching unfortunately.. sound wise there probably isn't a lot in it, so it's up to you really ! If it were me i'd go for the American standard because I wouldn't want the finish to wear too easily.
6. I'd have it off you but I don't like the chandelier finish .
7.
Does someone get an award for having the 1000th Basschat bass??
No.
8. The preamp is what you'd use to change (EQ) your sound, the poweramp should just make that signal louder. So in theory it shouldn't matter a toss what poweramp you use. In practise though.. I've no idea .
9. Playing Birmingham Academy Bar with the place packed out with 150 people. Terrible PA and awful tiny stage, but the atmosphere was fantastic.
10. Please in the future edit your original post title to say it is sold .
11. Neck through or bolt-on ? It'll likely be EMG-HZ pickups.
12. Hmm - the wood does a little but the body shape is Ibanez to me.
13. The strings are in octaves. So the E string would be a normal E and E an octave higher (same note as guitar low E). String wise I assume there are special sets you can buy. Personally i'd just get an octave pedal .
14. I've tried one and it was fantastic. Had a definite Miller vibe to the tone..
15. I've played kev's Vampyre... so err.. there !
16.
I would use that every day though. All day, every day.
That's a fair point, you dirty dirty boy.
17.
...it really annoyed me watching people buy all this disposable crap that won't ever be used - far better to spend it on something which will be used and loved every day
I'll send back your USB Humping Dog then...
