3. Hello just a quick note to reflect edited post. I have found something i would like so I am reducing the price on this to £180. I will ship and have a rough cost of about £35 for next day delivery with a courier but would obviously need a specific postcode for actual cost. Also more than welcome to pick up in Cheltenham and I wil also be in Pembrokeshire soon as well. Cheers, Nathan
4.
I love my Ashdown mini 4x8.....does 99% of my covers gigs with my EVO II 500 head, and then I stack it with my mini 1x15 for 100% of FSOF gigs Lovely little rig, fits in the car, loud and focused sounding, and a 15 just bottoms it all out nicely! Si
Until my band folded I was planning to do the same as you have and get the 15" to match and really make this a super powerful set up. Unfortunately I didnt get to that stage but maybe when I get myself in a band again I will seak another two cabs out because they are superb and super tight sounding. Cheers, Nathan

6. Just sold Budget Bassist (Sam) my Ashdown Head, quick payment, good comms, great to deal with and he left me some nice feedback as well. Cheers, Nathan
7. Hello, PM's should now be replied to, let me know if you have not had anything. The head is now sold and going in the post today, but I still have the cab for sale. Many thanks, Nathan
8.
8 ohm according to the ashdown site
Yeah 600watt at 8 ohm according to ashdown and the little plate on the back of the cab. Cheers, Nathan
9.
Would you be willing to post the cab?
Hi, Sorry for late reply have been in the sunshine in Cornwall for the past week. Anyway yes I would be willing to post but it would have to be courier and I would not be able to cover that cost in the price of the amp. Happy to get a quote for you and we can talk/negotiate. Send me a PM if you want any more info. Cheers, Nathan
10. Hello, Both Head and Cab still for sale, make me an offer, also looking for a good small combo and may consider fender bassman, ashdown electric blue in good condition, or swr workingman. Thought I had a buyer sorted for the head but things have not worked out for either of us so its back up for sale. Cheers, Nathan
11. AMAZING! I have admired RIM basses for a while now but I am a big chap and a Jazz or P are about the only thing that looks in proportion. I cannot wait to see this develop and might even be tempted to take the plunge (if he will make another one). Can you let the headstock design out the bag????? keep us updated.
12. The head is now on hold/sold pending the usual. The cab is still available folks. Cheers, Nathan
13.
if i can sell my sound city head. i will defo be interested in this!
Thats great news, in that case I will wish you the very very best for the sale. Cheers, Nathan
14. BUMP! Probably ebay this next week if I have no takers.
15. Brilliant band and the I remeber when I first heard Bombtrack, blue my mind, so angry, so groovy, so honest, just full of rage which is exactly what you want when you are a teenage boy! oh and one of the best bass tones ever IMHO Anyway yes he used a stingray with no pickguard if I remeber (not that that would affect tone) but he did use some jazz basses (75 American Reissue?) as well or was that just with Audioslave? I know I have seen him somewhere using Lakland as well so I would think he can get somewhere close tone wise with a Jazz.
16. Just bought a reissue Jazz from Ruairidh and can honestly say he is a fantastic chap to deal with. Great communication, well packaged and a superb bass. Also threw in some extra bits like a pickguard and chrome covers that were not part of the deal. Thanks again, and ggood luck getting that new Jazz. Cheers, Nathan
17. Just a quick note to say I may be interested in a combo of some sort as a trade. Something like a 1x12 around 100-200 watts. PM me with what you have, the worst I will say is no thanks. Cheers, Nathan
18.
These look really cool. Am I right in thinking it has a different body shape compared to his standard USA Mtd's? Also the headstock shape looks like the Callowhill Junkie headstock. Very nice looking basses
It does have a feel of the standard MTD basses in the body shape but it look to be a more substancial body with a hint of Fender thrown in. Yeah teh headstock did remind me of the Callowhill as well (nice looking bass too), it also reminds me of John Shukers J headstock as well for some reason, probably nothing alike if I put them next to each other though.
19.
MB1. I gather?......" Alex Sklarevski has left the building?".... BUMP!
It has not left the building just yet, just waiting for the go ahead. I will give it a day or two but if I hear nothing its yours if you want it. Thanks, Nathan
20.
Ashdwon? sounds like a cheap chinese knockoff! Seriously though, i may be interested in both of these, would you be interested in a trade at all?
Ha ha, thanks for that, I was far too tired to be writing last night and it was the second time I wrote it all out as the computer crashed! Afraid I'm not really after a trade. If I hadn't just bought another bass I would probably be looking at a trade for a combo but I do need to get the new bass paid for before I go looking at getting another amp. The only thing I would be potentially interested in is a SWR workingman combo or a newer style Fender Bassman combo. Many thanks, Nathan
21. I did a search and found nothing here on this so here goes, apologies if its been done. This is Michael Tobias' version of a Jazz Bass for some artists that needed something a little more conventional looking. I want one so very very much, I think I am too big and fat for a normal MTD but this would be fine. 22. Hello everyone, Right to business.... EDIT: CAB NOW SOLD! For sale is my Ashdown ABM MINI 48 cab, UK made. The cab is in really good condition with only a few very minor marks. These did not show up in the pictures but if anyone is concerned I will try and get pictures. The cab is compact and will fit in the boot of my polo with space left and best of all I can carry it with one hand (wouldnt do it all the time but its possible). These are discontinued now and have been replaced with a new Neo series which are quite expensive. I love this cab, its tight and delivers brilliant low end and is very loud at 600watt handling. Ashdowns info: http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.as...egacy&ID=61 So why am I selling if I love it so much? well my band split up. Drummer left us last week and we are basically trying to decide whether to carry on or not. I mostly practice through my computer nowadays and use the rehearsal studio Ampeg, Orange or Ashdown for practice. I have used this live twice, both times DI'd into the PA so didnt need all the power to be honest. So for that reason I will probably go back to a small basic combo until such times as I need big backline again. Because it is in great condition I would like something around [s]£230[/s] Edit: Have found something i really want so going to lower the price on this to £180. If anyone thinks this is a bit high please feel free to make me an offer but I will not let it go for stupid money. I am based in Cheltenham but often in Cardiff and people are more than welcome to come and try before buying but I have no head anymore so will need to bring your own. I will happily ship if anyone wants them but you will have to pay for the courier, postage not included. Sorry for the bad pics: Edited - removed details about Head as it is now sold.
23. Hey all, Just want to say thanks for some of these bands and bass players names. I have checked out some of the videos and they just had my laughing with shear musical joy! Particularly love that New Direction video, what a brilliant sound and brilliant happy energising music, doesn't matter what they are singing about, i am not religious and I still love it. Nice one. Nathan
24. Well thats just bloomin marvelous.....I give up on the fact that a Cort Elrick will turn up ever and then possibly the finest example of one I have ever seen turns up just as I purchase a new Jazz!!! I dont regret it though, seriosuly folks these Corts are amazing well worth £400 IMHO. Good luck with the sales.
25.
IF yopu're still looking for a Black Beauty, I was in Guitarguitar in Newcastle this afternoon and they have one standing just inside the door. I did'nt try it our in case I was tempted - divorce can be very expensive!!!
Thanks, but I think that is probably the one I sent back, never mind. Actually it has kind of all worked out in an odd way. I only wanted it as it seemed my band would be doing more gigs and generally be playing more but our drummer left so now I basically have no need for a bass amp what so ever. I am probably going to sell my Ashdown setup now and just buy a small cheap combo for home practice, but i usually play through the computer so who knows. When we get going again i will use the rehearsal studio backline (usually Ampeg, Orange, or Ashdown) and when we gig again i will think about buying something but that could be 6 months away.
